I am sure Seider's nickname to his teammates will just be Mo, but for us fans, I think that if he comes in and uses his size to his advantage and lays some people out (Much like a Kronwalling) a good nickname for him from us would be:

The Mannheim Steamroller.

I can hear it now:  "Holy Mackerel! [Player X] was just steamrolled by the Mannheim Steamroller himself!"

Here's a bit of a diddy.  The term "Heil Seider" translated to English via Google Translate, is "Holy Silk."

I know some folks called Yzerman "Silk" back in the 80's, maybe that is the connection!

I can't believe this needs pointing out, but... "heil" does not mean "holy" in German (that would be "heilig").

It means "hail". As in "Hail, Caesar!", and other well-known but less tasteful derivatives thereof.

But yes, Seider would be the occupational surname for a silk trader ("Seide"+"r").

Edit: Also, let's please not try and make "heil Seider!" a thing. :bored:

I was just going by what Google translated. I don't claim to speak German. Google is all I have to go by. But thanks for the clarification. Hopefully he will be smooth as silk when he plays here!
