Can all the Yzerman is Holland 2.0 nonsense stop now? :P

Best of luck to E in where ever life brings him next. I hope someone claims him, but doubt it. Maybe Holland misses him?

They're more alike than different. And u have to admit that signing Erne, Nemeth and Filppula and starting our last 5 1st rounders in GR is right out of the Holland playbook.

I mean yeah, they're both GMs who worked with the same team with similar staffs. Maybe eventually Yzerman strays more and makes the staff/team more his own. But it's not that surprising that they've been similar GMs so far, given that Yzerman just got here.

Love Mr. Idol. Much better than Gordon "Put Me to Sleep" Lightfoot.

Looking for a huh? moment....listen to Billy's cover of "Don't You Forget About Me".

Edit: I just realized that would be an appropriate video post for this topic.

I'm generally good with Billy Idol, but I can't stand Mony Mony.

Billy Idol reminds me a lot of Nirvana.  The music is accessible, on brand, and generally pretty decently made.  But that shouldn't distract anyone from the fact that the musician is someone pretending to be something they aren't. In Billy's case we're obviously talking about a punk, and in Nirvana's case a "grunge" rocker.  Both scenesters (i.e. people playing dress up).  But again, the music if fine...I guess.  My thoughts on Nirvana are well documented.

I hear ya. I was never really sure as a kid what Mony was anyway. I just remember what fun we had when we added our own lyrics lol.

Billy Idol is just a step up in musical talent from Darren McCarty

To whom?  Lazy, drugged out, good for nothings who live off the government?  Guy filed for bankruptcy years ago and hasn't had a job since he left the league.  Thank god for disability laws and social security huh?  Else Detroit's "idol" might have to stop smoking pot long enough to pass a employer required drug test.

That's how you Edgelord.  B*tches.

Nirvana is possibly the most overrated band in history.

Come at me, nerds.
