Because without a reliable backup, they've had to run Price into the ground. This lets him sit 30 games a season and be playoff fresh.

That's the big question. Maybe Price and his antivax wife are taking their family to live in a douglas fir tree house in northern British Columbia. 

Another question is: what the *** are Yzerman's goaltending plans?

To be addressed in UFA is my guess. Plenty of options out there. 

Also plenty of good, young goalies seem to be on the market as well, if Stevie is looking for more of a long term solution.

Maybe so, but none of them have ever worked out. Now they have someone a little more proven.

Probably. But he could sign 90s Hasek and still accomplish this. The fact is, he'll need another goalie. Preferably one who doesn't suck.

Yup. Honestly I could see the appeal here if I'm Montreal. I threw the 2nd in because Mantha - Domi is pretty even but Romanov's generally considered a better prospect than Veleno.

The Habs writer for the athletic said Mantha for Domi + Mete would be a fair trade. I think it's probably fair.

But If we can turn that into Domi + Romanov somehow we should absolutely do it and not look back. Maybe a throw in a pick? Don't even know that we need to include Veleno.
