Let it wash over you. Let acknowledgement of your superior intelligence nourish and sustain you. Look down upon those piteous Veleno slappies as though a God looking down upon a baby duck. Know your superiority. Live your superiority. Let Man-God Rasmussen be your guide.

And Michael Rasmussen came unto me
Snatching me up from my place of slumber
And took me on high and higher still
Until we moved through the spaces betwixt the air itself
And he brought me into a vast arena of our own Detroit
And as we descended cries of impending doom rose from the ice
One thousand, nay a million, voices full of fear
And terror possessed me then
And I begged "Rasmussen, what are these tortured screams?"
And Ras said unto me "These are the cries of the Wings, the cries of the Wings!
You see Gniwder, today is game day, and to them it is the holocaust"
And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat
With the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared
"Hear me now, I have seen the light!
They have a #1 center! they have a powerforward! they have a soul!
Damn you! Let the Ras take draws! Save our brothers!
Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Michael"

Missed the first part of the game. How has Joey V looked?

Pretty decent. Had a take away in the offensive zone in his second shift which he threw in net and Gagner almost burried the rebound.

Very little ice time, but I don't recall him losing a faceoff.

I like Panik-Veleno-Gagner as a line. Should be a good safe way to break the kid into the league by putting him with some solid vets.

Pretty happy with how Veleno played. He did not look like a guy playing his first ever game. Dude made plays at both ends of the ice.

He has been eating pickled herring all season long, making him a man.

I didn't see the whole game, missed the first period, but I thought he played fine. Had a really nice backcheck that definitely made me take notice.

He got more icetime than anyone else in the bottom 6 last night. Although his PP time helped that.

I just still do not understand how first game rookie Veleno gets awarded 15 min of play time with PP appearances, and 3 year older 40 games in Svech only gets 10 min. Veleno's performance was completely forgetable and no better or worse than antyhing Ive seen from Svechnikov.

Being a center def had a lot to do with it, when considering Larkin is out. I like how he made the right play every time he had the puck. There was no panic in his game, and he was responsible in his own end.
