That first line and top D pair are relatively good.

Hasek gets credit for the Hasek trade. Holland expected to go into 2001/02 with Osgood until Hasek told his agent he wanted to go to Detroit and to make it happen.

Holland still had to negotiate with Buffalo to get the deal done. He gets credit for that.

Counting Chelios and Hasek as 1st round picks is a reach.  Chances are, the 1st round pick from those drafts wouldn't be anywhere at the level of those two players.

Holland was not GM yet for the Shanny trade. He was acquired in 1996, Holland wasn't hired until Summer 1997, and I think it was after the 97 draft as well, so that one can be omitted I think.
