Does anyone know what's up with Jared McIsaac? He's older than all of Johansson, Wallinder, and Edvinsson, but seems to get way less attention. He's 22 and he still hasn't played one NHL game that I know of. With all of SY's additions on D, it appears the organization does not expect to make the roster again this season either.

Is this just a case of him needing more time because of injury setbacks? Or do we have another Sproul/Ouelette on our hands?

Injuries completely derailed him.  He needs a change of scenery for sure.

Ya Mcisaac/Sebrango/Viro are Sproul/Ouellet/Backman. Happy we finally have blue chip prospects so we dont have to get overhyped about these scrubs anymore.

Take it with a grain of salt, but so far today (in pre-season action) Marco Kasper has two goals and Buchelnikov has one.

Kasper is starting to remind me a lot of Zetterberg (but with better skating). He's not flashy at all, but the offense is there anyway because he's got good fundamental skills to go along with the fact that he's very smart and works his tail off.

Kasper = Zetterberg

Buch = Datsyuk

Seider = Lidstrom

Soderblom = Holmstrom

Husso = Howard

Zadina = Samuelsson

Its all coming together exactly as we have forseen

Edvinsson-Sebrango

Johansson-Viro

This is ALMOST an NHL 2nd and 3rd pairing.  Im thinking these 4 are going to stand out in this tournament.

The 2 Swedes will the Canadien boy and Finn suck.

Kasper going straight to Detroit like Ratmond.  Veleno-Kasper-Zadina could be a nice 3rd line for us next year.

Raymond played a season in Frolunda following the draft. And then came to Detroit. Kasper is likely 2 more seasons away.
