Perron + Sprong = 35 goals

The Wings plan to make that up spreading some more goals across Ray/Kane/Larkin/Berggren?

Any rumors on what Sprong is wanting?

Red Wings were ninth in goals forward last season, if Stephen can somehow make the defence better, we can afford to lose some goals.

Agreed. Also we only had Kane for about half a season, had we had him the entire year I imagine we are even better then 9th. Scoring was not our issue.

Welp new Gus likely ends the Trouba talk. Probably for the better.

DCat - Larkin - Ray

Fabbri - JTC - Kane

Ras - Copp - Berggren

Veleno

probably fill the remaing holes with cheap depth bros that our prospects might be able to beat

I think our top 9 is probably set.

Chiarot - Seider

Edvinsson - Petry

Maata - Gustafsson

Johansson - Holl

Gustavsson another PP specialist. Cheaper worser version of Ghost. Insurance in case Eddogg doesn't get his crap together. Because no one can move the puck after Seider.

SY probably runs 3 goalies again. So 1 extra D and 1 extra forward again.

Time for the most exciting part of the rebuild: sitback and watch prospects slowly trickle up for the next 5-10 seasons.

I know Skinner will probably go somewhere where he's guaranteed to make the playoffs since he's never been, but @ $3.5M projected, would you like to see him in Detroit?

Terrible with the puck on his stick. Okay passer. Great skater. Awesome positioning and shooting. Wouldnt mind, but he doesnt drive play and would need to be conjoined human centipede style to Kane, Larkin, and Raymond (in that order) with him on the end eating all the yummy plays they create for him.

Good evaluation.

I still hope we're ditching salary somewhere. We have too many D and too many G.

Not really. I see Campbell going to the AHL to be in a tandem with Cossa, Lyon will be our 3rd goalie/healthy scratch), and our main tandem will be Talbot/Husso.

As for D, we have Chairot/Mo, Simon/Petry, Olli/Gus with Holl as the 7th D-man/healthy scratch. If we call up a kid, we send Holl to the AHL.

Johansson has no waiver exemptions left, he'll be in Detroit.

Ghost going to Carolina. Only $3.2M

Ok, then Holl gets send down or he's a healthy scratch. We're still fine.

Side note, Shayne Gostisbehere is a Hurricane

I hate to keep mentioning him, but I wonder what Tarasenko is looking for? It'll be a rough season if we're bringing up 4 kids...

33 years old, 55 points in 76 games. I have no idea how good he is on D, but assuming he's average my guess would be he's asking for 6mil-7mil but end up settling for 5mil-6mil.

A full season of Kane and Berggren will make up those goals. Not worried.

Mr Fischer to the 4th line? Then maybe a kid(Kasper/Danielson?) on the wing on the 4th line

Why not sit both Petry and Holl and roll with

Chia - Mo

Ed - Gus

Maata - AJ

I think Husso will be #3, Lyon earned a roster spot last year.

Fischer played his best on a shutdown line with Copp and Ras. I expect that line to stay together.

Cat-Lark-Kane

Bear-JTC-Ray

Ras-Copp-Fish

Fabs-Joey-Kasper

New Finnish guy

They will try and waive him, but if no takers he probably stays up. That is too much salary on goalies if he goes down and Talbot and Lyon stay up.

If Yzerman can't move a dman, Ed is the only one waiver exempt. Which means he gets sent down.
