Yall highly underestimate how much we like our team

I grow tired of seeing $17.65M in cap space available everytime I click on PuckPedia.

Plus, Vancouver still needs a goalie. We could clear some cap and upgrade our D. Anaheim shopping Fowler. They don't need cap relief, they need the roster spot. If we could acquire Cam at a 50% retained, that would be an upgrade.

The longer we dick around with those contracts the less likely anything else is.

Yzerman needs to get his head out of his a^^, And get Raymond and Seider signed. He's had basically 5 months to get at least one of them signed.

The SCAM is trying to lowball the 2 best players on the team.  He has completely botched up the order of operations.  He should have had deals done before the end of last season BEFORE he drafted and signed UFAs.  Taking care of foreigners before your domestic talent is STUPID.  Raymond and Seider are each worth 9.25 million a season.  He's trying to convince their agents that they're worth less and need more seasons under their belt.  Nope.  Seider is no worse than Darnell Nurse and Raymond is no worse than William Nylander.  All of us would be hesitant to make one of those straight up trades if you asked us.  The SCAM has 17.5 mil to get 3 players signed and he needs 21.  Simple as that.  He's trying to do his stars wrong.  That sucks.

Well Berggren came cheaper than expected. Looks like a "prove it" contract. Still leaves over $16M for the two big guys. Let's hope we can get some deals done.

I still say dump Husso and Holl or Maatta for whatever pick you can get and go acquire Fowler. He's expanded his 4 team approved trade list and yes, Detroit is on it. Anahein does not need cap space, they could retain 50% and get some nice prospects, picks for their future. Wallinder, Soderblom? 2nd round pick?

Here's my team with Fowler and everyone signed. (Traded Husso to Vancouver and Maatta to San Jose) then traded a 2nd, Wallinder and Soderblom to Anaheim for Fowler at 50% retained. Still room for one more forward and over $4M in cap remains.

Yah,

I'm reading some stupid articles about his "comparables".  Sorry, but his comparables are not 30 point defensemen that play alongside the team's 1A defenseman.  His comparables are other teams' 1A defensemen.  Is he Rasmus Dahlin?  No.  Is he the next best thing, and could he be better than Rasmus Dahlin if they'd stop pairing him with scrubs?  Absolutely.  Seider is WORTH somewhere between 9.5 million and 10.5 million.  If the SCAM thinks he's going to get him for 8.5 because Larkin makes 8.7, then the SCAM is dead wrong.  He possibly could have had him at somewhere between 8 and 9 had he redone his contract during the season last year.  But he completely BLEW that one.  Now Seider and Raymond have the SCAM by the balls.  He's got to pony up and get rid of some guys so this whole thing shakes out.  Bad General Management.

Yet they were interested in Trouba. I know the talk was Holl going back, but thar was so they could buyout a cheaper contract. Anaheim has plenty of cap and could waive a D-man that may be involved or Yzerman could find a trade partner for one of the extra D, or waive one to GR. Fowler would be our top pairing LHD if acquired.

Problem is we just throw another roadblock in the way.  We have 4 defensemen we don't need right now in Lagesson, Chiarot, Petry, Gustafsson, and Holl.  We need spots for Edvinsson, Johansson, ASP, Wallinder, and Tuomisto.  The SCAM has our young D corp on the Holland plan of not playing until their 2 years past the point they should have entered the NHL.

I'm loving the new Raymond contract. I expect Seider signs for somewhere just south of Larkin...something like 8.5-8.6 million per year. If we can have Raymond, Seider, and Larkin signed long term for under 30 million collectively we're in a really good position to go big game hunting in free agency over the next couple years. Huge win for us with this contract.

All 3 combined are likely to be under $25.5m. Yzerman making a lot of dumb people look real dumb right about now. Negotiations are a grind and theres no gm Id trust more then Stevie when it comes to rfas. ufas are another story but even those contracts shouldnt hinder the team longterm. Wings are in real good shape going forward thanks to the man with the plan.
