#2259856 Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)

Posted by Vladifan on 21 February 2012 - 04:43 PM

At this point in the trade I don't think it's a bad deal at all. I remember that a bunch of us, including me, were griping about letting him go and watching how well he did with the Avs. It ain't obviously over yet, but right now I'm happy he's coming back HOME.

You all remember those two home games the Wings lost to the Wild and Calgary in early November? I believe those were the last games the Wings lost at home. Well, we were there for both of them. Yep, came all the way from Texas to see 'em lose.

What will you guys pay us to stay home for the rest of the season? Huh? :deal: :lookaround:

Just kidding. Couldn't afford to extort anyways....

GO WINGS!! DUMP DALLAS!!

#2256488 Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

I really appreciated reading all this bidness about Nash, even though I'll probably never understand the numbers game. However, doesn't the fact remain that the Wings' biggest priority is a defenseman? What with Lidstrom's quasi-imminent retirement and Stuart's leaving for the West Coast and family?

Ah.

Well.

If they just hadn't waited till the 3rd period to show up, who knows?

Huge effort by Joey Mac.

It has nothing do to with the guys playing in front of him? This is a TEAM sport!

There were times in the first period that our guys looked like an AHL team. No chemistry, iffy passing, and NO idea what to do with the puck. And the five on three?! Downright scary at times.

I dont know about the rest of you but I'll take composure, team toughness, push back and PP goals all day long over the dumb bull s*** that cost the Blues the game tonight.

AMEN. Keep up the class act, boys.

ericsson standing around like a little puppy dog

why the f*** isn't he getting in there bashing some skulls

Ericsson is playing better with every game and using his body more. He's doing fine, thankyouverymuch. <_<

I'm sorry, I'm must be having trouble seeing, because it looks to me like the big tough Blues have pissy pants when the Wings hit too hard.

f***....we have to listen to Edzo tonight? I would *almost* prefer to not watch the game in that case.

Haven't read further than this, but NBC sports has Dave Strader and Pierre. And they're both doing great. What a lovely surprise that was since we canNOT get FoxDetroit in Texas!!

Is there a single worse commentating trio than Doc, Eddie andf****** Pierre?

Not anymore. Eddie especially went way overboard in the last game. Therefore, since we're probably going to get him again, I hope what our guys do on the ice today turns him into an incoherent, babbling, bug-eyed baboon.

And because everyone here thinks he's awful, that play happened in part because Ericsson went to the net, screened Crawford, and got a decent backhand off, which rebounded to Dats.

>>THIS<<

Ericsson is playing better and better, showing more confidence and discipline with each game. Even Eddie and the boys were praising him. It'd be nice if we would actually begin to recognize his improvement.

And there's ol' unbiased Eddie O. pointing out toward the end of the game that we had too many men on the ice and that Crazy Quenniville was doing his thing. MEANwhile, Toews (?) has his stick between Datsyuk's legs, trying desperately to change his sex. But did ANYbody doing the game see that? Or the pounding on Franzen at the end of the game? Neeeuoooooo! Eat s*** and puke, boyz. And that goes for the announcers too!

Meanwhile, my beloved Broncos and Teebow won, and ol' big BAD Ben is going home. My day is complete and then some.

I've got all my chores done. I've wished even strangers a happy new year. I've flossed. I've been kind and patient and giving most of this week.

Now win, dammit! This game seems important on SO many levels!!
And just think what my little corner of the world would be like if I did good stuff most of the time just for the hell of it. Go figure.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU TOO!!

The Blues' go-ahead goal should never have happened. While all the crap was happening on the boards (somewhere around 14 minutes into the second period), SOMEone was holding White's stick. For about five seconds. And there he was, gesturing with his free hand to the refs that it was happening. So the refs did the next best thing. They ignored that and called the penalty on our guy which resulted in that goal.

And all the Versus boyz could talk about during the intermission was how wondrous, together and organized the Blues were.

Yeeeeeahhh....
