And I see you're starting the revisionist history about Thornton already.  He got better as the series went along.  Either way when you're the star player and make $7.2 million, contributing usually also involves putting up points.  And you have awfully low expectations for Heatley too.  There are a lot of guys who are responsible with the puck in their end and can help contain the neutral zone, and they sure don't get paid $7.5 million.  

I never said the Sharks as a team were bad.  It's just that they have guys like Couture, Setoguchi, Clowe and Boyle to thank for winning that series.  Because their three star players were busy contributing with "intangibles" instead of on the scoresheet, which last time I checked is how you win games.

I agree that our big three are all overpaid.  

But, to call out Jumbo Joe in this series?  C'mon!  Go back and watch the OT game 3 winner.  Who made that play?  Jumbo.  Go back and watch his steals in each game from his back-checking.  Take a look at the number of turnovers (hardly any) all series.

I used to be a fan, but I'm so over Joe Thornton.  Especially after hearing the post game interviews of him.  Hearing him say how they don't care what people are saying, they knew they could do it.  blah blah blah.

Thornton, Heatley, and Marleau account for almost $22 million of cap space.  

Marleau had one point.  (Who cares if it's the series winner.  Had he showed up earlier there wouldn't have been a game 7)
Heatley had a goal and three assists.
Thornton had zero goals and 6 assists.  4 of which came on the power play.  

Those guys were carried by players like Couture, Setoguchi and Clowe.  (Guys who really stepped up their game in the postseason (If you're keeping score those guys together eat up less than $7 mill cap space).  So it was a little hilarious to here Joe going on about how he believed.  I guess the part he wasn't saying was he believed "that my teammates would save my ass."

How about throwing some more love to the guys who carried you Joe?

Joe Thornton played his ass off this entire series.  Just ask the RW players and coaching staff.

It's not all about the cute stats you looked-up.  It's about contributing.

Not a day ago did I read numerous threads of "OH MY GOD IF WE LOSE GAME 7 I SWEAR TO GOD, NEVER WATCHING HOCKEY AGAIN OMGOMGOMOMGOMG?!" all across the shark boards. I have absolutely nothing and I mean nothing against opponent fans on the normal basis of them coming here and having an actual chat but to come here and start screaming we're bitching all of a sudden because what you actually made it to the western conference finals? Good, I hope you guys can actually make it past that just for the sake of Todd McLellan. I think most fan's are ashamed of your piss poor team and their display of sportsmanship when it comes to the sport of hockey if anything.

It was a heck of a series.  Stinks one team had to lose.  6 of the 7 games were one goal games.  Red Wing fans love this diving thing.  Get over it.  Your Wings scored an offside goal and a goal with too many men on the ice this series.  Setoguchi gets dropped by Bertuzzi in OT and gets called.  

Just find this "f*** the Sharks" attitude a bit over the top.

No way would I come on your boards and post smack.  Not cool at all and not my style.  This is why it sucks because these games have had controversey surrounding them and posting here would be wrong.

How do I feel?  Confident.

This Sharks team has strength coming from multiple lines which is something I have not seen in a long time...if ever.  Guys are stepping-up.  Adding Scott N. and Manny M. and allowing L.Couture to develop his game 95% of the season in the AHL have all been great moves. Nabby has been playing well.  TMac is an awesome coach and he's handled the "babies" on the team well.

Every game has been a battle.  The Sharks have found a way to take the extra step, so far and they have benefited from some lucky bounces.

No chance this Sharks fan is looking ahead.  Wings are to damn good.
