#2570949 Steve Montador Found Dead At His Home

Not necessarily.  Rare things such as aneurysms can happen at any age.

Lana: What's your third biggest fear?
Archer: Brain aneurysm.
Lana: What's a brain aneurysm have to do with walking around in a swamp?
Archer: Nothing, it can happen anywhere at anytime, that's what makes it so terrifying.

#2559903 Q and A with Teemu Pulkkinen

Besides being one of the better offensive prospects the Wings have had in a long time, he has the prefect attitude to be a life long Wing.

Last night may have been Mantha's debut, but it was the Pulkkinen  show. His OT was a thing of beauty.

#2531792 Rule Changes in the AHL (what the NHL has considered)

Posted by Shaman on 12 July 2014 - 10:11 AM

If it was a rule in the nhl the refs would be given no discretion. The fact that you have to securely do the chin strap back up when you put the helmet back on is the worst part, this rule could seriously handicap a team at the wrong time

Which is why it's better that it's in the AHL before it would come to the NHL. Let them work out the bugs so the NHL officials can f*** it up in new and interesting ways.

Must be nice to have such a great team that you can waste a roster spot and a million and a half bucks on a TRAFFIC CONE.

That is just plain insulting...

...Traffic cones serve a useful purpose.

This same article also has Holland saying Cleary will have to beat out other players to be in the lineup. But lets ignore that because it isn;t in line with Holland bashing.

Because Cleary beat Nyquist, Jurco, Tatar, Sheahan and Pulkkinen last year in camp.

If you believe that, there is no hope for you.

#2529896 Hockey News: Red Wings D hunting

Posted by Shaman on 03 July 2014 - 10:05 PM

Tyler Myers can go right out the window. They want a ridiculous amount for him (heard 4 starters and a high round pick) and honestly he's not that good. He's just tall.

Byfuglien is an interesting option. He fills a lot of holes on our backend (size, toughness, and a righty). Seems like a better trade partner than BUF who is in our division.

Don't know much about Petry.

I don't want to imagine Big Buff filling any holes on my backend.  Immature and sleep deprived is not a good combination.

What? All I'm saying is that we have a lot of pressure back there sometimes and he can be the one to relieve it. Sure, there might be some boil-over from the other D-man he's playing with, but they just need to bear down, keep it loose, and be prepared to go long and deep.... into the post-season.
