Congrats Lebron of the NHL!
Awesome to think these these two actually thing theyre going to win something there. It was all about playing with each other, and big bucks for both of them.
Not the kind of guys we want on this team IMO.
Sour grapes much?
Both are stand up guys who signed with a team far from contending. It's not like they took off to Pittsburgh or Chicago.

Tootoo was a healthy scratch on a team that was BETTER than the one we had WITH Lidstrom. I have never been more pissed at the Wings. I have never gotten THIS MAD. I want him gone NOW. THIS IS THE SECOND WORST DAY IN WINGS HISTORY.
This is a bit much...

Oh, so close! 59. This leaves me in a quandary. I have no tie breaker; I considered going with first post, but I'm not thrilled with that idea. While I normally am a proponent of "first come, first serve," this wasn't something everyone was aware of at the same time, so it doesn't seem completely fair. If you two will give me a day or two, I'll come up with an equitable solution.
Give person A the bag and the peanuts, give person B the flag. Let the first person who guessed choose what they want?

I would rather celebrate them going home early then deal with the potential of watching those douches skate around the Shark Tank with the Cup.

#2294781 Favorite Moments of 11-12 season.

What were your favorite moments?
- I finally got to see the Wings play, not once but twice :-). Home opener against Ottawa and the drubbing in Montreal.
- in those games, I got to see Datsyuk and most importantly, Lidstrom. I drooled more from my third row seats during warm ups than I did my front row seats at Katy Perry last summer :-).
- Filppula's regular season emergence. I've always liked him so it was good to see him produce on both sides of the ice.
- The ongoing Datsyuk highlight reel. Unreal.
- Finally getting the nerve to chat with you guys after almost a decade of lurking. Most of you are pretty cool and I hope it continues.

Dear LGW,
You guys are some whiney *******. Ban me for this I don't give a s*** I hardly post on here anyway but give me af****** break. Detroit set 2 records this year that no other team has been able to do for decades. Home wins and consecutive playoffs. There is a Stanley cup champion every year.
So the f*** what if they didn't win this year. New season starts in 5 and half months. Some "fans" some of you guys are. Thank you Wings for an entertaining year. Better luck next year.
Sincerely,
A fan always proud of his team, win or lose.
Frrrrtttt.

#2291473 Nashville and this series.
Posted by dats13owns

Aside from the Weber hit and non-suspension, Nashville showed up and the Wings continued their bad play down the stretch. The bad officiatting went both ways.
While losing to "little brother" sucks, this series was decided at the deadline when Nashville actually took the initiative to make moves and build on their potential. The Wings chose not to and it bit them.
As hard as it is to admit, Nashville is the better team right now from top to bottom. I won't root for them by any means, but I just wanted to give them credit where it is due.
Here is your wake up call, Wings Brass, the rest of the league has officially caught up to you.

"I don't like anyone on that team."
"what was i supposed to do? Hand him his glove?"
It sounded like a ten year old. This is the face of the NHL and the captain of his squad? That dude pretty much solidified everyone's notion that he is indeed a little *****. Though I don't wish anything long term on the guy, but I wouldn't mind seeing him get his ass kicked pretty good a couple times.

This isn't a headhunting thread but this season and series has been a kick in the face that the end may be sooner than later. While he started out strong he slowed down later in the season and missed a rare significant amount of time with an injury.
What does be look at when he decides it he's going to keep this thing going? He's still playing at a high level and warrants respect every time he's on the ice not only because of his play but because of the name on the back of his jersey. He's done all there is to do and will go down as one of the all time greats. Looking at the last few seasons, particularly this one, this team is closer to taking a step back than contending.
I know he's not going to make a knee jerk decision like us fans, but what are your thoughts in his decision making in the offseason?
