#2404565 Coyotes file for Bankruptcy/City pays 25mil to keep them

What really disgusts me is how Bettman had zero issue with re-locating teams outta Canada in a heartbeat, and how this joke of a franchise in the desert continues to carry on (much of it on the dime of the Glendale taxpayers).

Just move this joke of a franchise to Quebec City already (although the re-alignment of teams will pose a serious issue).

What kills me is how quickly Atlanta was sold and moved while the Phoenix soap opera continues.

#2349073 Paul Kelly: Expansion coming

I would think the league would want to worry about relocating a couple franchises before it moved on to expansion.

Both is the key! Nomadic teams to keep the league fresh I say.

Realistically, I believe that if Detroit were to have a 30+ point fighter on the roster there would be pitchforks and torches to get him to stop fighting and live up to their "true" potential.

#2129429 Next year could be big for the NHL

The players union has turned into an association and 10 players have already filed a lawsuit against the league for antitrust. It'll be interesting when training camps and the season is supposed to begin and the players don't have medical care or paychecks.

All in all, this is going to make major waves throughout all American Prosport leagues, strengthening the position and gap between owners and players. I foresee more college football, college basketball, and NBA coverage on ESPN before the NHL.

#2037369 Do the wings have new jerseys this season?

This thread signals the beginning of the Wings season to me. Now get to bickering about goalies and who is lazy and sucks.   :hehe:

#1966925 Wings breaking the rules in SJ

God, you guys are gullible.

1) There is no curfew at American Airports.

2) Even Charter Flights have to announce departure and arrival times, and keep everyone in route up to date on travel.

It's not like they just took off like ninja's and popped up all of a sudden.

If there is ANY truth to the story, then it's San Jose trying to take advantage of a team that can easily pay the fine and be on their way minutes later. But, there is no truth to this story.

For gods sake. Did you look at some of the other articles on that site?

It's San Jose's personal enquirer. It's propaganda. When you can't beat a team.....just make up news about them. That, apparently, is SJ's philosophy.

Guess they need something, since they're getting another 2nd round out this year :)

I spent 10 years working on radar systems with the FAA and airports. I will have to disagree with you.
