I'll probably get 'negged for this, but I feel bad for the guy. Doesn't get recognized by the NHL as an all-star caliber goalie and then he has his own fanbase deciding that he needs to rest rather than be an all-star. While I agree that he could use the rest, I think he's still young enough to be given an opportunity to enjoy himself at an all-star event and not effect his game in a negative way. Based on that link above, he seems pretty excited at the opportunity and his friends (I will go ahead and assume family too) sound just as excited as he is. Yet here we are, from the couches in our living room, deciding that he needs to rest rather than having an opportunity at a fun weekend .

I voted for him.

Don't worry I did too.

I just love how wrong he is on all of them too. "Bill Buckner well he blew the world series for Boston. Nevermind the runs that the pitching change allowed or that bobble in center field. All Buckner! And where does Buckner get off winning the batting title?!?!?! he is supposed to suck for the purpose of my article."

This is why I feel sports writing is bulls***, and amateur sports writing is even worse than that.

I'm just upset that I never got to see him in action in person... :angry:

But in my opinion he is easily the greatest goalie that ever played, and easily my favorite. Never mind the fact I used to play like he did either.

I understand what you are saying, but to say he can't be blamed for that as much as the rest of them. Or to cream your jeans when we re-signed him with ideas that he actually is, "The reincarnation of Terry Sawchuk," is just foolish. And to get mad at me for spelling out what anyone can see here is ignorant.

I just don't understand the hard-on a bunch of LGWers have for him. He can't steal you games, and in my mind you have to win in-spite of him most nights.

04' was one year after he made the NHL, 93' was when he started at U of Vermont. I think the maker was a year off with the 04'. If he meant when he started playing in the NHL, which I assume he did.
