Remember when we could pass like that all over the attacking zone? :hehe:

Considering that Emery and Turco are the only other options left, I would have to say "do want"...

But since a picture is worth a thousand words...

Eh I personally would take Emery over both of them.

#2197980 2012-13 Realignment Leak?

Sure the time zone change would be nice, but I really don't see the move working in our favor as much as most of LGW seems to think. I still have my doubts on us going east as well until it happens. As I have said again and again, I think we are too much of a cash cow to move from the west. I just don't think the NHL will shoot themselves in the foot financially like that to make all of LGW happier. <_<

Ehrhoff. Despite what you all seem to think I believe that he can bring it especially with our D style, and over all core of players.

I agree totally, but will they do it? I'm not so sure. Good work NHL.

#2182962 New arena news?

Posted by Gordie Howe hat trick on 06 June 2011 - 12:47 PM

Nostalgia and history are great... facilities, comfort, ease of access, parking, access, etc... all are TERRIBLE...

It has great memories, but there comes times that you need to say good bye, the building is a relic and is falling apart and needs to go... just as it sucked to see Tiger Stadium go away for the same reasons, you can't always fix things with a fresh coat of paint and some new pads on the seats...

I'm not saying that for the nostalgia. I believe the layout of The Joe, is clearly the best in the league. When they make us a new arena I hope it is very similar to The Joe of today. Parking may be a pain, but I find that ease of fan movement throughout the facility is second to none. I mean walking through the United Center, or Scottrade, or even The Garden out in Boston, none of those facilities have an easier more streamlined way for fans to get to their seats and out of the arena.

Personally I love the Joe, I hope we stay for a good long while. It is easily the best arena I have been to in the entire NHL, and I have been to a few.

#2181710 What can be done to go East?

I have always been screaming the West is better than the East, and we should play with the big boys. Yet many on here seem to think otherwise.

Wait, you are citing an article that talks about how Bettman lies all the time that he says we are going to the Wales? Yeah ok. Don't hold your breath.

Careful what you say, someone will give you a -1 like they did to me for the same reply. :hehe:

No kidding, I think it is because we are bringing reality to their dreams, and the two are like oil and vinegar. They just don't mix at this juncture.

I think what the NHL is going to do is move Nashville east, then slide Minnesota into the Norris. It is just the easiest way for them to do it. Detroit is too much of a cash cow, and the NHL needs that in the Campbell when you have teams there like Phoenix, Anaheim, Edmonton and Dallas that really don't make as much as say New York, Boston, and Montreal.

Just my opinion on it.

Am I the only one who thinks Detroit going to the Whales is a bad idea?
