I've been lurking listening to Pens fans. What a hoot. Topics of conversation include:
Sid is the best and everyone else is just jealous.
Is Modano American or Canadian?
Is Modano married to Carrie Underwood?
Sid is the best and everyone else is just jealous.
Ovechkin is over-rated and will be bottom 6 soon.
Wings are old.
MAJOR discussion over where the Pens play.

It's been a hoot.
Best one: Pens are better than Wings because the Pens have won 4 cups and the Wings only have won 3.
The enforcer threads would probably be shorter if you guys didn't chime in with trolling crap like this.
And no, I don't want Hordichuk on the Wings.
Post of the day.
The Nucks don't need an enforcer. They have the Shinguard Assassin. One blast of his one-timer, and bones break. Just ask Cleary.
I don't want to lose anyone that we have for Hordichuk, but if we were really without any talent for our fourth line and were going to be running three lines anyway, I'd take him over someone who can't skate, score, pass, or fight.
What is Babcock doing to this group? Setting them up to lose? Is this like the group in which he wants to test their mental toughness or something?
My guess is that he wants to see how they perform under pressure, not only for tonight's contest, but to see who should be on the 4th line this season and to see what is coming in the future.
It also doesn't hurt for the GR coach to see them play in this situation and can work in player development.
He probably didn't expect them to win, but maybe he promised to bring cookies if they did.
