    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

Same here. I have GCL but had no watch option last night. And I am out of area so assumed it would be available. Anyone know what the new GCL rules are this year that is causing some to see the games and some not?

Jimmy's out w/back spasms, MacDonald recalled

IF I had to bet money I would go with you on that. But Osgood has suprised me before and it looks like he gets a chance to prove it no matter what we say here on LGW. So I hope he proves us all wrong and is suddenly absolutely sick and steals games. Am I betting on it, absolutely not

MacDonald will be inserted into Detroit’s lineup tonight against the Phoenix Coyotes, serving as a back up to starting goaltender Chris Osgood. " Hopefully he got Stewies Flu and wont be out long.

Hopefully Jimmy just got Stewie's Flu and will be back quickly. Time for ozzie to prove he still has it.

Draper to miss an additional 4-6 weeks

Thanks. guess i wasn't thinking about just doing it retroactively if needed. And since we can only go over during the LTIR, I see that it doesn't help us in the long run. I know all this most days, must be all the cold medicine....

Draper to miss an additional 4-6 weeks

Cap question I guess. So Tick Tock says no LTIR for Drapes as he doesn't need the cap space. I understand why we don't need the space to bring anyone up from GR right now, with Abby coming back and becoming the extra forward . But don't we save cash against the cap for the time Drapes is on LTIR? I thought the portion of his salary paid while on LTIR wouldn't count against the cap. So that would be money we have overall against the cap and would be leeway for later in the season... Why wouldn't we put someone on LTIR if they are out 4-6 weeks???? Quote from Free Press - www.freep.com/article/20101021/SPORTS05/10210526/1053/sports05/Slow-starts-need-to-stop-for-Wings#ixzz131RStxiA" "SURGERY FOR DRAPER: General manager Ken Holland said Kris Draper will undergo surgery for a sports hernia today, and will be out four to six weeks. The Wings aren't putting Draper on long-term injury reserve because they don't need the room." <edited for duplication of post>

Lilja gets training camp invitation to Sharks

Hope lilja lands in the NHL and in Grand Rapids would be ideal. Maybe after this weird treatment by the Sharks he will have an even deeper appreciation for the Wings Organization.

Lilja gets training camp invitation to Sharks

I was searching around to get a status update on Lilja and found this. He still doesnt have more then a try-out contract but this looks encouraging for him making the Sharks. http://blogs.mercurynews.com/sharks/2010/09/30/andreas-lilja-will-be-on-the-plane-to-europe-but-still-without-a-contract-for-the-coming-season/ Also read an article about how the Ragers need Left Handed D-men. If anyone will overpay a players worth its the Rangers ;-)

10/1 Pre-season GDT: Toronto Maple Leafs at Red Wings

Lashoff gets a great scoring chance at the Leafs end and then missed his pickup on the way back down the ice and then missed it again on the goal. I know hes going to GR and he has looked good at times, but you cant get so excited about a shot on goal you completely forget how to play D when you come back down the ice.

Supposed to be a reply to... View PostSouthernHockeyHoney, on 01 October 2010 - 08:19 PM, said: Just got home... Damn you Dish Network. Help a girl out here... Score? If you have Dish then while they lost fox they gave everyone NHLNet. Its the stupid leafs feed but you should be able to watch the game.

Dish Network and FS Detroit negotiating

Does anyone know if this will effect tonights game? I would rather watch the Fox HD feed then NHL Network as I need to here Ken and Mick and am not sure which feed NHLNet is using. Just checked and it isnt listed anymore until the replay at 1am (which I am guessing is now blocked out anyways). So it looks like its NHLNet
