#2231475 11/30 GDT : Lightning 2 at Red Wings 4

I got negged for telling people to quit whining? The Wings were winding down the clock. It's no different than quarterbacks taking a knee late in the game. Do you ***** about that too? WE'RE WINNING. STOP IT. Bunch of got damn children.

Quit whining about the PP. We're leading by two goals, with 2 mins left in the game.

#2230337 Bylsma Defends Crosby's Elbow on Foligno

Posted by Doc Holliday on 27 November 2011 - 01:31 AM

For starters, that isn't a suspendable hit. It's a scrum in front of the net where one player is taking extra liberties.

Second, Crosby at least had some reason to give cheap shots to Foligno. And they weren't even super cheap shots at that.

Third, Crosby is a cheap little *****. As soon as things get heated Kunitz is in to save the day. If you want Crosby to play sheriff, then let him fight his own battles.

I don't want the Wings to be a forerunner for this young *******.

#2224093 What's up with Datsyuk

Posted by unsaddleddonald on 09 November 2011 - 08:54 AM

You seem a bit obsessed with Cleary.

Again. Oh, by the way, Cleary was our #2 goal-scorer last season. Oh, and do you remember when Zetterberg scored 40 goals in '05-'06 and '07-'08, and over 30 apiece in '06-'07 and '08-'09? Oh, and do you recall that many people call them one of the best pairings in the league? I guess not.

That is the problem right there: Dan Cleary was our #2 goal scorer last year. Cleary should be a depth player, not someone we rely on to score goals......

He's nothing special, and he's apparently got a bad attitude as well.

See, now you're just making things up.

GM Steve Yzerman said, "I understand where he is coming from and I respect where he's coming from. ... This enables him to move on with his hockey career."

#2220518 Brunnstrom on waivers

Posted by eva unit zero on 31 October 2011 - 12:18 PM

Why are people so nuts about putting Brunnstrom on Datsyuk's wing or Zetterberg's wing?

Cory Emmerton outperformed him offensively in the AHL last year while spending some time injured and some time on the Detroit roster. Brunnstrom failed to make it onto the Leafs roster.

Should Emmerton be slotted next to Dats or Z?

Maybe Helm, who posted 30+ points in the NHL last year.

I've been torn a new one for suggesting Eaves on Dats' wing before, even though Eaves has a very good shot and has scored 20 goals.

Or Hudler. Who has scored 26 goals and 57 points. And is probably the third most naturally skilled forward on the team right now.

Brunnstrom has some decent skills. But he needs to prove he deserves a shot before he gets that slot. Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Filppula, Franzen, Hudler, Cleary, Bertuzzi, Holmstrom, and Eaves are all guys who are have shown to be better offensively than he is, at least so far. He needs to seriously up his game, or revise his role. People were suggesting a Homer-type role for him. If he can add that to his repertoire, he'll be a top-sixer on an NHL team for years to come. The Wings are probably losing Homer AND Bert this offseason, so that's definitely an open spot he could slip into. Maybe then he'd deserve the spot on Datsyuk's wing.

#2220269 Coaching part of the problem?

Posted by Guest on 30 October 2011 - 03:18 PM

We've scored 4 goals in the last 3 games, you can play it off all you want, but something's wrong, and something needs to be changed.

Then go ahead and change it.

#2220257 Coaching part of the problem?

Five wins and four losses? The coaches suck Never mind that we have two new assistants. Never mind that Babcock is one of the best in the league; the grass is guaranteed to be greener on the other side---fire him!!

Cleary hasn't been doing well so far. He's terrible! Send him off the team! Nine games with less production is unacceptable!

I am sorry to say but I have to agree with you on this one because while yes being loyal to someone like Stevie Y. or Lidstorm is good but being loyal to someone like Cleary who has been AWFUL this year come on! Common sense needs to come into play here for once in the Detroit offices.

Bwahaha. OK. So nine games of bad play means that a player is horrible and that not trading him entails excessive loyalty on the part of the front office. Thank goodness you're not a GM.

I Lol'd. But I agree, it's offensive when white people dress up as black people but it's not the same when a black person dresses as a white person. I'm sure you know who will come in here and be the PC police, though.

anyone offended......shut the f*** up

You need to calm down and quit being such a douchenozzle.
