This is embarrassing.

I blame the leadership on this team for failing to motivate it from game to game. Where is all this veteran presence you always hear about?

Why doesn't this team just skate off the ice and say, "We don't want to play 60 minutes tonight. We're lazy and we suck."

Redmond just said the wings unoffically gave up about 19 shots on net in the first period.

Now how can people claim the defense isn't that bad? That's ALL a defensive problem.

They weren't bad in that period. They were awful.

I can't believe we're going into the playoffs with no goalie, no defense, and a shaky offense that plays hard when it wants to, has lots of injuries, and 6 or 7 floaters in the lineup at all times. :scared:

Miraculously they still are top 5 in the standings.

I do agree that it's not very nice to watch game like this though.

In spite of the defense and goaltending, and not because of it.

MacDonald = Howard

<_<

19 shots given up in that period, to thef****** Blues. We used to give up that many shots the entire game, back when we had a good team several years ago.

#2138570 10 most skilled players

Posted by GMRwings1983 on 30 March 2011 - 06:18 PM

Kovalev absolutely belongs on that list, and higher than Datsyuk. I know the guy is lazy as s***, but that's not what this list is about.

Kovalev was a great stickhandler (not as good as Pavel), but his accuracy and shot are a lot better. Great one-timer, great wristshot, great backhand. That's why he's on the list.

Also I don't know why people complain about Lemieux being number 1. The guy could do anything with the puck, and also had a great shot, either with his one-timer or the wristshot and backhand.

Datsyuk is the best stickhandler I've ever seen, but that's not the only skill to value. You guys need to realize that he's the only current NHL player on the list, aside from Kovalev (who's on the list due to previous play). That speaks for much already.

It was a penalty, once again take your blinders off.

The refs had their blinders on when Homer and Zetterberg were interfered with.

Nevermind, I forgot that you're Steve Moore himself. La di da, la di da, La la.

I hope Bertuzzi took a s*** in the referee's bag while he was watching the game in the locker room.

If Hossa's career is somehow tragically ended, I won't bat an eye for that playoff choker.

Bulls*** win and a horribly reffed game. The Holmstrom and Zetterberg breakout no-calls were af****** joke.

I'd love to beat Mike Milbury with a shoe right now.

Crawford is outplaying Howard right now.

What else is new?

#2137162 All-Time Olympic Teams?

Posted by GMRwings1983 on 28 March 2011 - 06:39 PM

Lemieux - Gretzky - Howe
Hull - Esposito - Richard
Messier - Yzerman - Morenz
Sakic - Trottier - Lafleur

Orr - Harvey
Bourque - Robinson
Potvin - Shore

Roy
Sawchuk

Of course Crosby won't make this team. Hasn't played long enough. I also notice that all these rosters will have too few wingers as compared to centers.

I hate it when those Panthers fans come and start trouble.

They're just impossible to deal with.

Go ahead and show me where I said everyone was happy that Howard got hurt. You're acting like I said everyone was happy with the injury. The only over-exaggerations are coming from you.

It was so silly and intense that 8 people felt that it deserved a +1. You're in the minority on that one bud and literally the only one to "call me out" on it. You don't control the opinions around here and you sure as hell don't control what I post. Take your own advice and step down off of your high horse.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that. It's likely that a lot more people would have negged it. There's no such button anymore, hence it looks like you made a rather popular post.

There are some posters who are happy he got injured, and there are others who frankly my dear, don't give a damn. I'm in the latter. I don't know why that upsets you that so many people don't care as much about Howard being injured, as they would be for a Datsyuk or Zetterberg injury. He's not as important to our team, because he hasn't played that well this season. Hence, no one is upset.
