We won the Cup in 2007-08....not that far from grace.  I like the Hawks, but that's some really crappy writing that only discounts what is a really good Hawks team.

Driving home from Raleigh after seeing Seger in PNC. Which by the way there were a TON Wings Jerseys in attendance. Got to talk to a family wearing Ferris State, Griffins and Wings jerseys but I digress.

Or do you take the chance and put Bert and Sammy in? Personally I think he should let it ride as making the playoffs after all the injuries is quite an accomplishment. As we all know Danny C will NOT be sat down it would be Gus or Eaves for Bert.

 

 

I think at this point, Cleary would be sat long before Nyquist.  Nyquist puts out the same effort and is much more skilled and useful, and Babcock knows it.  Keep Tuzzi in cause he's been playing really good, and put him on with Z and Flip to make more space for them.  Cleary was terrible last game.  His role needs to be on the 4th line.  Abdelkader has flourished playing with Dats, Cleary has been getting consistently worse over the past 2 years.

I hope somebody spears him in the crotch just like he did to Lids in '09

Nope, his horrible play will get him double shifting duty.

I wish so bad he would come back now.  Maybe that's why our 4th line is just rotating wingers.  Whoever plays the best flanks Helm when he's ready to tear up the ice again. 

 

  I would rather Sammy have those 6 shifts then Emmerton.   I like the Mule with Pavs and Abby, I really hope Z and Fil can get Clears going here because if he's going to play top 6 the guy has to produce, period.  The kid line will have their hands full tonight and the Bert should be feeling better out there so hopefully he'll make the Hawks feel his presence!   Close game here 4-3 WINGS

Flip-Z-Tuzzi looks way better than having Cleary on there.  Put Cleary on the 4th line. 

Tatar is better than Cleary.  Should be playing on the Wings right now, but Tatar's 7 points in 7 games in the AHL playoffs isn't good enough to have him run with our makeshift 4th lines.  Guess GR needs him for round 2.

 Umm, article, it's also unlikely Miller and White are re-signed.  It's time to clean house good this time and keep guys like Andersson, Nyquist and Tatar up, along with Lashoff and maybe even Callahan for the 4th line.  No more of these gap contracts when we have the talent we got coming up through the pipes.  And there's no garuntee that Flip's a Wing for opening night next season.  Tuzzi and Sammy are gone after next season.  We have so many talented kids coming up, it would be stupid to re-sign any of the above mentioned guys.  We all know our prospects list, it's time to live by it.

I called Hawks in 6, but the Wings have me really wondering if they can knock off the powerhouse Hawks.  If the Wings get a split in Chicago, I think they'll take the series.  If they lose the first 2 games, they'll have a hard time crawling out of that hole.

Games on tomorrow at 8, correct? I'm excited as ever for this one. Think the boys are going to make many posters start singing different tunes. Most likely the same ones that didn't want us to make the playoffs because "we would've just got spanked."

I called us beating the Ducks in 7 and then losing to the Hawks in 6, but on my TSN pool I left Howard in there with Quick as my goalies, so there's still enough faith in the Wings left. 

The idea of trading Datsyuk for any of those plugs is just absolute nonsense. Stop it, seriously.
Kaddish or Edler...even Bieksa wouldn't be bad to have but the asking price for any of them would be absurd and I just don't want them bad enough that I'd want to give anyone good up for them.
Burrows bites, we don't have room for the Sedins and their declining production, and the thought of Kesler diving around the ice in a Wings jersey makes me feel physically ill.
