I know. The Belle Tire ones are funny though.

And then one day, you find yourself living a thousand miles away from where you grew up and wishing that there was a Belle Tire down here because none of the local tire stores come close to the same price/service standards. I find myself digging most of the FSD commercials out of childhood nostalgia and wishing they'd bring back the Kowalski Kowality Moment.

Given what Gilchrist went through injury-wise in order to remain an active NHL player, I'm inclined to read this as some sort of 'I'm into S&M' secret jersey code deal.

In the third period, Datsyuk added an assist on a Jiri Hudler goal. The Wings celebrated their victory the way everybody in the NHL likes to celebrate: by hitting Sean Avery in the face. Alas, they did it before the game ended, which led to two high-sticking penalties and some crazy power-play action at the end of the game.

Cracked me right up because the Avery thing is such the truth.

When the two teams have something like one playoff appearance and no playoff wins in a combined 20 seasons of existence, I mean we're talking hard core futility, and the only traditional market that tolerates that level of suck and comes back is Maple Leafs fans.

It really was the perfect blend of highest skill and utter hatred and you just don't see many rivalries where both of those categories manage to be turned up to 11 like that.
