BECAUSE OF THE RULE

i really hate it when fans of certain teams bring up the "we've won more cups then you" argument because it really doesnt have anything to do with the game being played currently.

I think the relevance is just that we've dominated the Hawks for so long, that just because they've been better than us for a couple seasons isn't enough to feel so high and mighty over us.

At least Franzen doesn't dive like a coward.

Diving requires work.

If we can steal this game it would be sick. I'd say there is a good chance too, the hawks have had possession but not generating amazing chances. Jimmy has had to be good and consistent, but not spectacular. If we can come out a little better next period, this game could be ours.

Hossa is by far the better player. The only thing consistent in Franzens game is his inconsistency  When hes in one of his 20 game goal droughts he brings nothing else to the team with his floating around. Hossa plays hard every game and is atleast a threat the defense needs to pay attention to every shift even if hes not scoring. 

 

This. Franzen isn't even close to Hossa's level.

GWG or not...anything over $4M is too much. Heck $4M is too much...trade him before he becomes a UFA to a team that will give him $5M...Dallas.

 

Although they were still lamenting last night how Anaheim still needs a #2 center...I know you guys don't like Bobby Ryan and he did disappear in the playoffs (he wasn't the only one) but maybe there is someone out there Flip is worth in a trade...or maybe just their 1st rounder...

 

If I had a dollar for every player you wanted to be traded, I'd have enough money to start my own NHL team, make it really good, make you a fan of it and piss you off every time I don't trade a player.

Oh, hi Filppula with GWG and major assist now that he plays with competent linemate.

 

C-, though it seems fairly certain that he's injured. He can't lift himself off the ice without an assist from his stick.

 

Thats been the excuse for the past 4 years.

Why do people think that being a fan and being critical are mutually exclusive concepts?

 

If those who didn't get angry when the team plays like s*** didn't care about the team, they wouldn't get angry.

I this point I really think it had to be the coaching. These players aren't as bad as they constantly play. It's not a negative against Babcock, but sometimes you just need change.

To everyone dogging Filppula, hes scoring more at even strength per minute than all forwards except Datsyuk, and that's him having a s***ty year.

Fil is looking possessed out there. Pretty much generated all that offense there. This is the Filppula we saw last year.
