#2422237 Wings looking to trade before using buyouts

Posted by T.Low on 25 June 2013 - 02:41 PM

I agree; I DO NOT want to trade away Mr. Butterfield.  That boy's got jump, and I luved the playoff Gordie Howe Hat Trick.  Tatar brings it.

#2420829 Brunner Contract Talks

If he wants 2.5 mil for a couple years, great. If he wants more, bye. Very simple.

#2420771 Grand Rapids Griffins Win Calder Cup! 5-2 win in game 6

Andersson got the pass from Tatar on the empty net 2 on 1, but instead of getting the goal himself, he waited until Tatar was in he clear then fed him for the goal.  Very cool.

I can't believe the numbers you guys are throwin out.  Compare him and his scoring to Hudler and then consider Hudler got 4 yrs @ $4m per on the open market.

Guys that primarily put the puck into the net are the hard one's to find.

Thanks for the post John9. I don't have any time to follow the AHL. It was very informative and will make the series that much more interesting. My friends went to Syracuse now I have something to tell them about the team and we can duke it out.

#2417834 Which UFA would help the Wings the most?

Posted by T.Low on 05 June 2013 - 11:46 AM

Clarkson or Horton. Ribeiro would be okay for the right price as well.

He's too old, I'd rather invest in someone who can benefit us for a longer period.

Regarding Iginla, for the right price he could be a great two year acquisition, His veteran leadership is undeniable his work ethic is undeniable and his presence around the younger players would be another great influence.

Plus he is still an effective scorer and would be awesome On Datsyuks wing.
Yes I prefer someone younger like Horton or Clarkson but of course there will be a huge bidding war for them, and if we don't win it Iginla would be a viable alternative.

#2416784 Will Brunner be back?

Posted by T.Low on 01 June 2013 - 11:11 AM

I d hire Brett Hull to coach/consult Brunner at finding open ice for the the one timer snipe And that is the best part of Brunners game. He just needs to adjust it for the NHL.

Add to that some defensive training and he could be a pretty decent player.

Nyquist the Ginger Ninja has arrived!  I'm gonna have to watch this.

#2416405 The *unrealistic* 2013 off-season thread

Posted by T.Low on 30 May 2013 - 09:43 PM

Michael Ryder is available.  I prefer realistic.  If we're gonna sign like last offseason and you want unrealistic, then Ryder, Clarkson, Horton and Scuderi.  Tuzzi retires.  Sammy and Colo are bought out.  Tootoo is traded cause he wants to play.  Cleary, White and Miller don't re-sign.  Flip signs with Calgary.  Franzen is traded to a southern team, cause he likes the sun and it's fun there.

Ginger's don't like the sun.  Just saying...

#2414198 Interesting stat

Interesting.  Maybe there is not as much parity  the league as everyone seems to think.

#2414018 Trade Smith ASAP!

Posted by T.Low on 28 May 2013 - 12:39 PM

H

I don't see how this experience is good for smith either. Half his NHL career is all negative and he seems to not have a problem with it cause he hasn't made the slightest adjustment to to improve. Bench his ass and show him how much better you have to be for playoffs next year. And for him to be guaranteed a top 4 spot is making him entitled to the role no matter how he plays. I don't understand how you don't put Kindl up he has been great and has more experience

Agreed

We'd have won by now with Lashoff in for Smith.  I have never seen anyone make so many colossal mistakes that directly result in goals against.  White didn't come close to the catostrophy that Smith is.

#2414000 Trade Smith ASAP!

Posted by T.Low on 28 May 2013 - 12:10 PM

Smith skates. He makes bonehead rookie mistakes, but guess what? He's a fricking rookie!! When will LGW people give a defenseman longer than 2 years to get his groove? Its disturbing how short sighted some are. Havent you seen that I was right all along in that our young guys should be playing?

I totally agree that less experienced players like Smith are going to struggle and make a ton of mistakes. I think what people are upset about, well me anyway, is that if Ian White were playing instead of Smith we would have won the series with Chicago by now.

Filp will be gone because under the cap we are not allowed to enjoy the fruits of our own cultivation. ( If you're drafting and development are too good, you end up supplying the league with good players because the rules won't allow you to pay them for what you helped make them worth--some other team gets the return on your investment).

Nyquist will move up with Z, and Tatar will join the team.

#2409280 Any pickins from the Canucks carcass?

On HFBoards/Canucks, one poster responded to today's Allain Vineualt (sp?) firing by stating, "I'm so happy I could riot".  Classic.
