Rypien was easily one of my favourite fighters over the last couple seasons. RIP Rick.

Am I the only one who thinks that the reason he said Detroit has such an extremely low prospect depth and then went on to talk about Helm and Kronwall is because he simply doesn't know any of the players in Detroit's system and is too lazy to look them up?

Also, even if the offer was straight up I think the Wings would be out of their minds to deal Helm for Hemsky. Personally I would rather have Helm battling hard and chipping in on the scoreboard for 82 games then Hemsky scoring a couple goals for 20 games.

I have faith in Jimmy. Sure he has had his ups and downs but he's only got two years under his belt. If he can play this season near the level that he left off in the playoffs then I could see him getting Vezina consideration. And I don't care about the soft goals he has let in, if Lolongo can get Vancouver to game 7 in the finals, Jimmy can win the cup for the Wings.

Very true.  I know I have my blind optimism and belief that Osgood can do anything he sets his mind to.  I still think a healthy Ozzie could challenge Howard for #1, even though Babcock would never let that happen.


Just throwin this out there, but if you are gonna have such a blind optimism for Osgood then you should probably change your name to something that reflects it so we will all know how you feel.  :ph34r:

I love Ozzie just as much as anybody and I think its obvious that he wants to play and still can play at a high level, but I think the Wings main concern is his health.. if you go with Ozzie you basically still need a 3rd option in goal just in case.

Once you start getting a few its pretty easy, Twitter will suggest otehr accounts and is usually not all that far off.

Or you could just pick someones account, like mine(@GS_Brooks13) , and bring up the list of people I follow, as long as you dont mind sorting through the mix of MMA and Hockey people haha..

I also have seen a Twitter "List" that you can follow that has all of the active NHL players who have Twitter.




On a side note, just thought I would share the funniest thing I saw on Twitter today..

Ryan Kesler tweeted "How do you get a verified account around here!!???!!! Cmon throw a guy a bone"

and someone replied "Win a cup."

Ok..well we not getting jagr..who cares..sounds as tho eaves miller ericsson might be looking elsewhere..and alot of the bigger name free agents are being resigned by teams....what are the wings doing...i understand purple say we don't need offense but dats and hank cant do it all..if they healthy and the mule..well he never healthy...what's going on???


I hate when purple go 'round sayin' stuff.

But yeah, welcome to the boards, but I am sure if you take some more time to look around you will notice that people around here don't miss much, so if there is a topic to be discussed, chances are there is already a seperate thread for it.

What would people think about Dan Carcillo?.. He seems interesting but I have always pictured him as kind of a douchebag, which could be a good thing I guess..

But he has shown glimpses of goal scoring ability in the past and isnt afraid to drop the gloves..
