God that cage pisses me off. I hope that if game 4 gets out of hand Bert peels that cage off his ugly face and re-breaks that orbital bone. See how tough he is then.

The only real positive thing about the timing of this is that the Wings dont play again til Saturday afternoon which means they will get to stew over this embarassment until then. I obviously havent watched Wings hockey for as long as some of the other posters here but I have been a Wings fan for as long as I can remember and I don't think I have ever seen anything as telling about the Wings as I did in the 3rd when the camera focused on Lidstrom sitting on the end of the bench, he just looked completely pissed off and frustrated with how the team was playing..

I dont think the Wings need a bag skate or anything like that, they need to sit in the video room for the next 2 days and just watch that clip of Lidstrom's face over and over again then go out on Saturday and play some god damn hockey for a change. They should also make it their mission to do whatever it takes to help their captain finish the season with a plus, they owe him that much.

So, the only game the Wings have won recently was against Toronto.. oddly enough thats the only game I made a pregame plea to the Wings in the GDT. With Toronto I was able to beg for a win so my facebook wouldn't get over run with cocky Leafs fans. That probably won't be the case now as I'm pretty sure I don't know a single Blues fan. So lets see..  

Wings, you need to win this game to finally bring peace to the middle east! Don't let the terrorists win!

Hudler gets it back though so Im SLIGHTLY less pissed.

I can handle losing to Vancouver.. and even to Pittsburgh.. But there is nothing I hate worse then the onslaught of ridiculous Leafs fans who will immediately swarm my facebook wall to proclaim that Toronto is better than Detroit..

I think you guys saw the wrong replay.. the no-goal wasn't because Bertuzzi used his glove.. they clearly called Holmstrom for being too close to the crease.  

I can't say that I am surprised. Despite the fact that so many people can't stand the guy whenever you hear owners and gms (for the most part) talk about him they always seem to approve.. whats 5 more years anyways?  

Headliner on TSN's NHL page is about this and trying to get a police investigation amongst other things.. which I find just stupid. Some people may not agree with Mike Murphy or Colin Campbell, but like it or not these guys make their living making these kinds of decisions. Anyone at all who is watching that hit from a non-habs fan perspective is going to be able to see why there wasnt a suspension, even if it was borederline. In fact, last night I showed my brother (who rarely watches any hockey at all) the hit and told him Chara wouldn't be suspended and his response was "of course not, its not Chara's fault that the rink is designed that way." The thought of Air Canada pulling out makes me think they are run but a bunch of pissed off Habs fans or they were looking for an excuse to pull out anyways.

Didn't see most of the game. Did Franzen float around as per usual?

You are acting like he was the one who took the time to carefully hand paint the entire figure and sleeps with it on his night stand.. all he did was post a picture he found of it online, during a conversation in which the incident had already been brought up.

Gotta agree somewhat with this.. if Chara has that big of a problem with Pacioretty it's not like Chara needs to cheap shot him to get his point across.. Chara can more than handle himself in a fight with anyone in the league.. But the other story would have to be if Pacioretty would actually ever even try to drop the gloves with Chara.

A third jersey is basically an alternate jersey that some teams will use. Every team has a home and away jersey that they use ona  regular basis, but basically in an attempt to make a few extra dollars a lot of teams have a 3rd or alternate jersey that they wear every few game, generally just features different colors and/or a different logo than the team usually wears.
