Canuck Luc Bourdon killed in motorcycle accident

Such a tragedy about Luc Bourdon. I heard they are going to have a moment of silence before Game 4 in Pitt.

    Pens still alive...

I am not happy, but I must admit the Pens deserved to win Game 3. The Pens are still a threat, but now the Wings have seen the Pens play their best game it's time to shut'er down. The Wings won first two vs Nash, then lost two then won two. The Wings swept thru the Avs Then Went 3-0 on the Stars, eventually winning in 6 And now here we are again. Up 2-1. Even if they lose on Saturday. The Pens need to learn how to win in Hockey, not to mention score a goal in JLA.

SCF Game 3 GDT: Penguins 3, Red Wings 2

The Pens are pulling out all the old stops if you will. The Pens have inserted Darryl Sydor in their defensive core.

Mule Unleashed: Franzen a GO for Game 2

The Penguins are 10-0 when they score first. The problem is that they can't score against Ozzy. Series goal totals after two wins by the Wings. Wings 7 Pens 0

Mule Unleashed: Franzen a GO for Game 2

The Pens beat the Stars in Game 2 of 1991 Cup final like a rented mule. Tonight the Wings will beat the Pens with a rested Mule. Franzen will help lead Wings to a... Wings 3 PENS 1 prediciton Game 2

    Wings fans always remember

Hey Wings fans, We have been pretty lucky the last 11 years or so to have a pretty good team and our players have rewarded us by lifting the Cup. I also want to honor my fave Wing Vladimir Konstantinov. He was a good and even better guy on the ice.

    Whack a Penguin

The average age of Pittsburgh players in this season’s playoffs is 27.9, while Detroit’s average age is 32.3. The Red Wings have 10 players who have captured the Cup a total of 23 times, while Pittsburgh has just three winners and a total of four rings.

    Time goes by so slowly

Hi Wings fans, I don't know about you but why must it take so long to start the Cup Final. If this was the NBA and their 40 games in 40 days campain we would have already had two games at the Joe so far. We all know what happend to the Tigers in '06, too much rest ment a sweep by the Cards. The only good thing is that the Penguins will be more rusty.

2008 Playoff Picks Game: Round 4

Hockeytown USA vs. Steele City USA in the cup final. Do both cities need "USA" on the end? Shouldn't it be just Hockeytown vs. the Steele City. There is no offical Hockeytown up in Canada, they have their yearly Hockeyville contest. And have you ever been to Hamilton? No wonder teams leave that city. It's all about stealing (pro and ohl) teams away from them. Hamilton Penguins would never fly either. Get a blackberry and watch the games on that. Don't Steal the Pens from the real steele City.

    Franzen for Conn Smythe?

I'd pick Osgood myself, but this column makes an argument for Franzen to win Conn Symthe. He's been great, but I'm not sure THAT great

    Avery rushed to hospital

My thoughts exactly. Maybe, while doctors are working on him, they can give him a new spine, while they're at it.

    Floppy scratched

You know, he looked pretty good last series, so we're lucky that he ain't suiting up. The guy is a china doll, but still has the mojo.

    Respect for Burke

Gotta agree with this assessment that Brian Birke did the honorable thing in staying in Anaheim. Rumors had Toronto offering scads of cash and a long-term contract, but Burke decided he needed to work out the final year of his contract. I don't care for Burke, but respect his move here. Oh, and it's nice to see Toronto screwed
