It seems to me as though the Datsyuk unit has a more difficult time gaining entry into the zone az well. So assuming this is true the Datsyuk unit is not as good at maintaining possession as well as gaining clean entry into the offensive zone as the Zetti unit. However the offensive prowess of the Datsyuk line does seem a bit more lethal. The question is can they get in and established and once their not only rip off one or two good shots before coughing it up.

Wow that would be awesome if center ice played it. i wish there was a way i could confirm that though, I had planned on drving to Toledo with my old man to get out of the local nbcs range and watch it at a random bar. Would be great if i did not have to do that. I called the local NBC and gave them hell for this. I swear last year when it happened against the Ducks I thought that i was going to kill someone. Anyhow cool to see we have some others fans from Cleveland. If the Wings make to the finals we should have a party for one of the games. Anyhow keeping my fingers crossed for tonight I am bronging a friend over that seems to be good luck the wings are 6-0 when we watched together. Later

I am with all the basketball haters here, I live in cleveland and all I hear about is Lebron this and L train that. I absolutely cannot stand it. I actually told all my friends and family that I have no interest in hearing about anything related to basketball. Football is probably going to happen this year. Lets not even get started on that commerrcial, i mean sport.The whole timeouts at the end as a stategy is understandable but my god every single game. My roomate is a huge basketball fan and he hates that. All he does now is Tivo the games, skims through em and watches the last minute, that takes about an hour. I just hate everything about basketball and like others have said befor me, I must stop there before i get banned.... Onto the promoting hockey thing. I for one think that boring as camera they use from center ice is just terrible. They need to change it up more frequently. I played hockey for 20 years and love to follow the fine details of a game. That does not mean when i watch a game in high def on hd net that i want the camera to be shooting from up in the nose bleeds.Sure you can see the whole play and that is fine at some points but it just feels so disatant to me. You cant even tell that they are puck handling. They need to do more lower angle shots. Capture the speed and agilitly these guys possess(behind the net, in the corners at about the center of the circels, and also a center ice cam.) I think that when the puck enters a zone they should be giving us diffrent vantage points closer to the players. Also the mics need to be better. Bay area has decent ones. We need to hear every time the puck is on a stick, the skates grinding up the ice. Not the little scratching noises we usually get. I like here the communication on the ice as well, or when in a pressure situation hearing the yelling. They need to showcase the carzy skills these guys have and cameras a mile a way is not going to do that. Just my thoughts.

for anyone trying to use sopcast, after you get the vlc player opened and entered the http address pause the wmp that sopcasts uses, it seems to keep the feed running smoother. Also anybody still having trouble getting the vlc player open should remember that if you click the button that looks like to windows, second button to the left of the play button, it will open the vlc player. Obviously it needs to be installed prior. Hope this helps someone. go wings

Watch out if the god damn center ice people give us the feed. We only had to pay a couple hundred dollars for the package. This is completely ridiculous. Anyhow in response to the watching it online, does that cost more money? I downloaded that sopcast and i already have a vlc player. So now do i just click on the link at game time and it will be on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that it is also just a matter of them not paying enough attention to other infractions of the game and focusing too much on the hooking and holding. They are so focused on eliminating that aspect of the game that they often overlook obvious, and I mean obvio us penalties. I swear every game I watch now not only has terrible terrible terrible calls being made, but also missing some of the most obvious penalties. It really makes me sick most nights hell they ruined several playoff games the past few years with all the calls. No 5 on 5 no flow, penalties every minute no excitement during powerplays or penalty kills. Thats it for me, Go wings

Nice game by the boys tonight. I had a feeling they were going to break out of the slump after their game against Dallas. They were almost there in that one they just needed a little bit more confirdence and they had that tonight. Sucks to see Lids go down but I feel confident that he will be fine. Great to see Downey punch the clock and have his lunch pale with him tonight, as well as Zata, did yo guys see him choke Mcleod out with his stick, I think he might have cut him open, or maybe i was just really under the influence. Meech and Quincy both had great second halfs to the game, they looked a little rattled after lidstrom went down, but the savy vet Chelly held em together and even though i am not a huge lebda fan I thought he did a great job showin some leadership as well. Datsyuk is just plain sick, the guy has an unbelievable sense of the ice and where the safe spots are and where the pressure is. He never ceases to amaze me. On both goals with Zetty you can totally see them communicating with each other, is that like that mind over matter stuff...anyway, those two showed up tonight and showed the youngsters how it is done. Great outing by the Ozzy, I was on the edge of my seat all the way to the last seond pullin for a shutout. I really felt good about the team tonight, they showed some much needed grit. Look at all the extraciricular activities that went on after the whistle tonight, quite a few. All of that stemmed from from the Lapperiere hit. I think that is great and I am sure when Lids finds out that his TEAM had his back tonight that will motivate him to play even harder for them. Anyhow gotta surf the net "wink wink" soryy for the long write up I just really got into this one tonight. Good night fellow wings fans.

I think that these lines would work very well. The first line obviously works great. However i dont see flip hudler and cleary on their own stepping up, they need someone like datsyuk out there to take charge. Second line i can easily see them outproduce the first, again i just like the make up of the line. You got three different types of players that should work extremely well together. Zetty flyin around the zone, hudler settin up plays, and homer in the middle getting the garbage. As for the third and forth lines, I wouldnt mind seeing franzen with sammy maybe kopecky in the middle. All three of these players have the ability to put the puck in the net and i think if they could get some chemistry going could produce a decent amount of points. Then have drapes maltby and downey as our pure grind line with a few garbage goals here or there.

I live in cleveland ohio and time warner finally got their s*** together here so hopefully all the rest will soon follow. I don't get it in high def which kind of sucks but ill take just getting it for now. That being said others from time warner might have it because i cant get versus in high def and i know some people have said they can.

yeah then they did it again in roys first meeting against detroit as a colorado goalie. still bring a smile to my face

I have had the luxury of dealing with this situation twice. Two years ago I had cox cable and they do not get vs, and of course the only cable company i can get in my area is cox. So i move and get time warner and last year everything is fine. Now this year i am running into it again with this nhlnet bulls***. The first night i realized that i was missing games because of this channel i damn near drove to CI headquarters to take out those responsible. This is a god damn joke and the best part is there aint' much we can do. Everyone has to call and complain. So whoever it was that said they called CI could you please post the number I will try my hand at it

I sure hope that you are correct on this one. I for one tend to agree with you. Zetty really was gettin her going at the end of last year, then the injury comes and he never really seemed to get it back. Not saying he didn't play well in the playoffs, he just was nt as dominent. Datsyuk, well he is just plain crazy. I am so happy that we have these guys and with Homer in the mx it is just a thrill to watch them. Unfortunately when it comes to the scoring title I am not sure if eitheer will win the. However, this is for a good reason. I f you look at the other potential top scorers or point getters aroung the league you will find that more often then not the majority of them are not as invovled in the other parts of the rink. Our guys dedicate themselves to the entire game of hockey where these others guys often lack. For me I would much rather guys like Datsyuk and Zetty over the likes of jagr and lecavelier. Also not to mention are guys are a class act. I think having them compete for the title would be great and will push them to new levels. At this point i am going to have to with oh the hell with it. I give up trying to pick which one i think is better. Also, have you been paying attention to kopecky? I think that him and Fillpula both have great careers ahead of them.
