Alright, my next U-M homer pick for the Wings should be Chad Langlais. A d-man with great hands.

As a U-M student and U-M hockey fan, I'd like the Wings to take Jon Merrill so I can watch him develop in AA lol

Sadness that Jack Campbell chose to go to juniors and not to U. of Michigan

All right Detroit Vipers reference! Didn't know Rick Dudley was still a figure anywhere.

WCSF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Sharks 2

As far as I see it, the Wings had plenty of chances to take this series (3rd period game 2, leading 3-1 going into the 3rd game 3) but they are just gassed. I fear they spent too much energy and strength to make it into the playoffs due to all the injuries in the regular season. Then letting Phoenix take us to 7 was another dagger. This wasn't our year in terms of luck and bounces. Hope the young guns get better, the old guns get wiser, and make a few moves in the offseason to get this team back right.

WCSF Game 2 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Sharks 4

Let's put it this way, the Wings played well enough to cover their own mistakes and to weather the Sharks attack (since the final score wasn't a blowout). However, the way the calls went, it was an extra hurdle that made a manageable challenge become too overwhelming and thus the Wings lost. Yes we played like crap at points in this game, yes the Sharks outplayed us at those points, but it's ridiculous for anyone to sit here and say the refs didn't have a part in deciding this game.

WQF Game 3 (4/14) GDT: Predators 5, Red Wings 3

The more times we overcome adversities such as these blown leads, the more it will help us later on in the playoffs. I think high pressure situations will help overall and make our guys less nerved by it when it is game 7 in the WCF (hope it doesn't have to get to that, but roll with it). I remember we were down a goal to the 'Canes in game 4? and we slapped in 2 goals in a matter of minutes to win. It'll be like that for us.

Wait until June when we're celebrating a Stanley Cup win. We'll look back on this day and just laugh and laugh..... I hope.

Doesn't the music for the NHL Center Ice commercial sound like George Michael's "Faith"? Maybe it's a message.....
