#2508961 Ryan Malone arrested

Posted by Holmstrom96 on 12 April 2014 - 11:13 AM

I hope he's punished just like anyone else.  Drunk driving kills folks, taking sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers away from families forever.  I wish Mr. Malone luck with any alcohol issues he may have.

#2507039 Jack Adams award discussion and speculation

Babcock should have won it several times now. Bowman should have won virtually every year. It almost always goes to a coach who gets his team to the playoffs with a bunch of injuries or a coach who has a young team that plays better than expected. By those criteria Babcock deserves it. No team has lost better players for as long, and the Wings lead the league in cap hit lost to injury by a long way last I checked. A good chunk of the Pens man games list are their backup goalie.

I'm working through the night and I got bored.

This was the result.

2037. That's gonna be our year.

#2483420 Injury Updates

Considering Franzen's year as-a-whole, it's probably not terrible news for the team that he isn't skating.  As an individual it's awful he is still sidelined and I would never have wished it on him or anybody else.

I'm not sure what this means, but he had 23 points in 31 games so far this year, That's on pace for 61 points in a full season, and he was red hot when he was injured, so yes it is a loss.

#2476596 Whom to blame for this goal? A referee or the goalie?

Posted by nosyt612 on 24 January 2014 - 06:36 PM

That's on the goalie, the refs only check to see if the goalies are ready to go at the start of periods, otherwise you gotta be ready to go like everyone else unless you've talked to ref about fixing something.

17 goals and 17 assists in 44 games.  My friends who are Tampa Bay Lightening fans down here in Florida are thrilled with him.

I think that's awesome.  Unfortunately, he wasn't able to produce here.  Not blaming him but sometimes players thrive under a different system.

#2471533 Franzen having trouble processing information

Posted by wings87 on 09 January 2014 - 06:43 PM

The fact that the hit wasn't an especially hard one, I think its reasonable to draw the conclusion that there may have been an undiagnosed issue before he was clocked in the head. Hope he gets better soon, we could really use his offense.

#2465312 Can anyone stop the Blackhawks?

Could anyone stop the 2005-2006 Red Wings?

Father Time is currently kicking their ass.

#2464714 Jurco Called Up

Posted by Jedi on 15 December 2013 - 12:57 AM

Let's all remember that Sammy was scratched tonight...

...and Jurco's getting called up...

..which means Sammy is likely still scratched...

...perhaps we're seeing Holland/Babs make a little bit of sense here!

#2449328 Varlamov Arrested

Bottom line for me--we don't know what happened. Varlamov is innocent until proven guilty, and FOR GOD DAMN SURE so is his significant other.

#2449999 Philly Capitals line brawl

Posted by kipwinger on 02 November 2013 - 02:37 AM

I'm all for fighting and everything was fine at first IMO. But once holtby was down it shoukdve been done. Emery continued to hit the back of his head and the ref didn't help. Imo the ref and emery should get suspensions.

Also in the next game I fully expect emery to be ready to handle a little bit better of a fighter next time. He def. Went to far and should be dealt with accordingly.

So your only is problem is that Holtby got beat up TOO BAD?  You don't think it's a little silly that he had to fight at all, considering he didn't start anything, nothing illegal happened, and he didn't want to do it in the first place?

Why should Holtby get punched, even one time, because Philadelphia can't play defense?  They should let Emery punch the Philly defense, and if that doesn't work then punch Berube...and then Holmgren.

This is stupid.
