f***. White better step it up.

EDIT: Coli or Lashoff are much better options, keep White off the ice.

#2315987 Quincey files for arbitration

Posted by Greatness=PavelDatsyuk on 05 July 2012 - 05:59 PM

Quincey was bad with us, but he's got the potential to be a very good defenseman. Something just wasn't clicking.

Quincey can do everything, hit, shoot, pass, and skate, just a matter of putting it together. I have a good feeling about him this season.

He was getting top-pair minutes in Colorado the last two seasons. I have a feeling he was just having trouble adjusting to the system and we will see a much improved Quincy this year.

#2312923 Jiri Hudler signs with Calgary, 4 years, $4m/year

I would have been more pissed if Holland had done this then the Sammy signing.

#2312158 Now what?

Has to be a trade coming, but hopefully we try and move Franzen before Filppula

#2311905 St. James: Wings have inquired about Rick Nash

Posted by Greatness=PavelDatsyuk on 01 July 2012 - 08:18 PM

Eklund says the wings are putting together a MEGA deal for Nash E4.

Well that just convinced me Detroit pulled out any offer they had for Nash and now have no interest what so ever.

#2311766 Ilitch, Chelios to fly to Suter, Holland to fly to Parise

Not as worried about loosing Parise as I am about Suter, we NEED Suter, getting Parise would be nice, but there are other options available.

According to Pierre Lebrun the Wings are no longer meeting with Parise face to face, though they are still very interested.

Unless we could get Tampa or some other team to help us out again I don't see this happening. We would have to give up way more then hes worth.

#2294992 Parise, Suter AND Semin

Posted by Greatness=PavelDatsyuk on 21 April 2012 - 02:07 AM

Get rid of Kindl before Ericsson or Quincy, and pass on Semin, especially at that cap hit.

And why the hell would you want to get rid of Helm??? He isn't and probably won't ever be a top 6 forward, but he has amazing speed and is great on the PK, and for s decent cap hit I would bring him back in a heartbeat.

Joey MacDonald suffered back spasms last night and Nyquist is being sent down because Bertuzzi is back.

#2264152 Lackluster Trade Deadline

Posted by Greatness=PavelDatsyuk on 27 February 2012 - 04:25 PM

Funny comment I heard from the TradeCenter stream on TSN. First Ganger was in a lot of trade discussion, until he had his 8 point night against Chicago. Then LA was considering trading Brown, until he got his Hat-trick the other night against Chicago. Then last night, when Chicago had a shot at dealing a blow to Anaheim's playoff chances which could have led to some deadline moves, they blew it and Anaheim stuck in the race for the 8th spot. So this lackluster trade deadline is obviously all Chicago's fault   :hehe:

#2264148 Post-TDT: Red Wings stand pat, no additions

Posted by Greatness=PavelDatsyuk on 27 February 2012 - 04:17 PM

Holland made few moves in the offseason after Rafalski's retirement , because he looked forward to today.  He kept that $5 million in cap space all season.  And for what?  By not adding any players today, the Red Wings basically sat on $5 million all season for no reason at all.  It's not like we can keep that $5 million and add it to next year's cap space.  We could have definitely used a rental player and given up picks for him.

Holland has been keeping us under Cap for this coming off season, when a lot of players will go UFA and we won't lose any depth picking them up. As for a rental player this year, before the Commodore deal we would have had to trade someone with a contract with those picks, and after the deal I haven't seen anyone I would want at the prices they went for, and from what I was hearing all day on the TSN Tradecenter stream the prices for anyone who I think the Wings could have used, like Ott, was way to high for what we would be getting in return.
