Quit freaking out, it won't be as bad as everyone is making it out to be.
Sadly it may not be freaking out as much as a reality. This happens all the time to sporting events and concerts. The scalpers manage to get a hold of so many tickets that those of us that have to budget our money can't even dream of paying for it.
I remember trying to see about tickets when they played in Chicago and I had no luck...I wasn't even that serious about going but if I found a deal I would have.

I really hope the NHL isn't allowing fans from outside of Detroit or Toronto areas participate in the lottery. I'm sorry but if I see ANYONE wearing a jersey that is not Toronto or Detroit I am going to be pissed.
What about all the Detroit fans that don't live in Metro Detroit? Like many of our members here.
what is this tourist perspective you speak of? people arn't there to sightsee they are there to see a hockey game. southern ontario is the largest market and thats where 2/3 of the fans at this game will be from.
illitch will get his cut from all the stuff happening at comerica, that is how he is going to reward the people of detroit.
The tourist perspective would be all the business that is generated in Detroit as a result of everyone coming over for the events. This will benefit the City of Detroit.
Will U of M season ticket holders at the Big House get any priority whatsoever?
Doesn't sound like it since the NHL is handling ticket sales.

Thank you! I really want to go but I'm worried about not having the "right connections" to find a ticket that isn't prices 10x face value. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this thread.

I have a feeling Ty is done as a Wing Willing to bet we see MacDonald tonight and I'm sure they'll play well. Wonder if they spent Sunday golfing and watching the Superbowl instead of working on the PP.
I hope we have a great game for my friend that will be there.

I really like Eaves, I hope he can get back to feeling good. I would be sad to see him leave but his health comes first and if we can't take a chance on him then we do what we have to.

I hope Babcock actually learns something from this....like the fact that you need to play your back up more often so the team can feel confident in front of him. I'm sure Ty can handle it but I'm not sure how the team feels with him in net. I hope Howard isn't out too long, but this the reason I do not like the way Babs has been handling the goalie situation last couple of seasons. If he doesn't have faith in the guys we have he needs to get management to work on finding someone.
Looking forward to seeing Conklin put a good effort in the upcoming games.
