#2240867 2012 NHL Winter Classic GDT : New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers

Posted by nosyt612 on 02 January 2012 - 06:34 PM

On the CBC Elliot Friedman said it was basically a done deal that it's coming to Detroit next year, all thats left is to decide which stadium.  The thing that's got me the most excited is HBO 24/7 following the Wings if they do get the classic.

Pumped for this, making the trip over from Victoria.  I'll be behind Howard for the first and third.

That's the way they're calling it if your name isn't Crosby, Ovechkin, etc.

It happened two days ago and  they're not doing anything about it.  This was all about appeasing the buffalo sabres and all their whining about the Lucic hit.

#2208063 Yet another lawsuit filed against Bert

Posted by nosyt612 on 18 September 2011 - 08:21 PM

You sound like one of those that thought bert knew that moore would fall on his head and get hurt like he did and that bert needs to be in prison. Lucky we don't have people like you in the court system.

So you're saying Moore just "fell on his head" and got hurt, and Bertuzzi's sucker punch and driving his head into the ice wasn't his fault?  Never did i say he should be in prison, and before we start feeling sorry for Bert he himself filed a lawsuit against Crawford over this.

As much as i think it's time for everyone to move on from this it's Bertuzzi's own fault.  I don't buy this whole nonsense about blaming the dog pile either, he suckered him and drove him face first into the ice with extreme force.  The dog pile after was nothing compared to that, and for who ever said it was his team mates, watch the video, one Avalanche player jumps on Bert to stop him from continuing to hit Moore and is then followed by two more Canucks.

#2166077 Evaluating the Rafalski "Deal"

Well he was a huge piece of the puzzle in 2008, and well not as good now i think he gets alot  of unfair criticism.  I think it was a good signing.

#2159772 Question: Why do Wings fans hate the Canucks?

Posted by nosyt612 on 28 April 2011 - 12:50 AM

Their organization whines almost as much as their fans, Sedins dive, Burrows dives, Luongo dives a lot, the fanbase overall is annoying and always talk up their team which has never won anything, stupid logo, weak coaching, and basically the opposite of the Detroit Red Wings.

Agree with this completely.  I live near Vancouver and am tired of all their conspiracy theories over the past few years as to why they have a tough time in the playoffs.  Last year it was someone who used to be in LA kings management who is now NHL war room that made decisions against the Canucks, and this year there was one saying that the NHL wanted Chicago to advance so they used the refs to influence the games.  Such a good conspiracy that Chicago almost missed the playoffs and they didn't suspend Raffi Torres when they could have. This article by Tony Gallagher lays it out http://www2.canada.c...4e-b981e443321b

The above is the most annoying thing about their fan base, but the whining that their players and management do all the time is worse.  Whether it's the complaining about Ron McClean's piece on Burrows (which by the was illustrates the cheap shot artist and diver he is), or penalties in the playoffs dating back to Brian Burke's famous "Sedin is not swedish for punch me in the head."  Also John Garret is the single most biased colour commentator in the league.

These are the reasons I hate the Canucks.  Most of it probably has to do with the fact that I live in an area dominated by Canuck fans, but they do get on my nerves.

#2104422 ASG Starter "to stay home" due to injury

Posted by nosyt612 on 24 January 2011 - 03:41 PM

It's not like it is fresh, or that it was a compound concussion and all signs, of all reports, point to him being cleared for workouts by this weekend - It's not like he's confined to bedrest... once again, as I've said ad nauseum, I'm not saying he should have to show up, play, or even sit in a chair and sign autographs, the guy was/is hurt and has a good reason to not be there, but lets not go too far in the other direction of defending him, you make it out to be like he's on his death bed... and, yes, it still is a double standard when it comes to the festivities and not the game.

Stop saying it's a double standard.  You don't understand the rule(i think it's a stupid rule as well).  The rule is for people who just skip the all star game and miss no games do to injury.  He has been OUT FOR TEN GAMES, and most likely will miss more after.  His is not in violation of the rule what so ever.

Your not even stating the rule right.  They got suspended because they were only skipping the all star game and had no games missed do to injury.  Crosby has missed 10 or so, and most likely will not be playing after the game either.  I don't like that rule either, but Crosby doesn't even fit the rule.

#2095880 2011 All-Star Rosters Game rosters named

Posted by nosyt612 on 11 January 2011 - 01:39 PM

I think LeBrun has to be right, there is no way the league just missed Zetterberg and put in Kelser, Kane, Sharp and Erricsson ahead of him when those teams were already represented.  As for Howard he is 29th in both save percentage and gaa, he shouldn't be in the all star game.
