I think it's just one of those game managing calls. The game was over and they kept going after Franzen so in the best interest of everyone they took him out of the game. I'm sure someone put this in the GDT but here's an awesome quote from Franzen about Neal after the game:
Franzen had "no clue" why Neil went after him: "He usually steps up when the game is over, tries to be the hero, put his cape on fly around"
I've never been that impressed with Eaves. I like how consistent Miller is; he is a great pk'er and can be really effective on the boards keeping the puck in the other teams end when the fourth line is out there.
I can't be mad at him if he plays. I loved when Yzerman did it in in 02 as a Canadian when he probably shouldn't have considering his knee problems. I'm not gonna sit here and be hypocrite about it, and I don't think some people realize how this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Dats.
That's on the goalie, the refs only check to see if the goalies are ready to go at the start of periods, otherwise you gotta be ready to go like everyone else unless you've talked to ref about fixing something.
Nowhere did I say the datsyuk elbow should be turned to the law. Maybe your english comprehension sucks but I said that it got me thinking. The fact that they're millionaires just makes it a joke that the league will fine them a measly 10 grand. Fine them 100 grand for these dirty plays and see how they respond. To a guy who makes 4 mil a year, 10 grand is pocket change.
Maybe because you said "Watching the blatantly purposeful elbow on Datsyuk's face had me thinking. Why shouldn't the players be held legally responsible for actions that are deemed purposeful intent to injure?" people thought you were bringing the Datsyuk thing into it. Maybe your english comprehension is lacking.
As someone who lives in BC and watches a lot of Canuck games I really hope the Wings don't trade for Edler. He does not think a good game out there, and he's been like this the past two seasons. All the Canuck fans I know hope they trade him because he's so frustrating.
