Posted by Ram on 08 November 2011 - 02:10 PM

Looks like Kindl is back in for Commodore after all. Lineup for tonight looks like:

Clears - Dats - Homer
Flip - Z - Mule
Abby - Helmer - Happy
Mills - Emmerton - Fabian

Nick - White Christmas
Kronners - Stuey
Big E - Amazon Kindle

Edit: Link

Interested in fourth line tonight, but unhappy of still no Flip-Pav.

Let's go Wings!

Let's go boys, get it done tonight. Wings still overdue for some goals from the slump, I'm going with 7-1, DRW over Avs. Check it!

Thank you for posting. Probably won't be able to buy anything, but it's very nice to see his involvement still with the community and raising for a good cause.

We'll always remember Vladdy!

This is not helping my LSAT score go up any :P

Cleary giving the people in the front row a nice wind

This isn't helping my 1L reading of Torts and Contracts either! :hehe:

I am down to party with Tartar for a few games. I think he molds well with the squad.

Also addressing who plays in these games, I think that everyone who's trying to crack the lineup gets equal playing? And our stars just rotate the top line?

Edit: Get the new guys a feel for the style too?

#2174940 2012 Winter Classic, Jan 2.

I really would argue for Montreal or Toronto getting it, but it seems that they'll just have a separate one every year ("Heritage Classic") as no one in the US is going to watch a Canadian team and they will make tons of money off of it in Canada anyways.

I also initially don't really like the same teams getting it year after year. I don't know, seems like it could be one of those things like the Thanksgiving Day games in the NFL. I can't really make up my mind actually. Kind of really do find it lame that twice there's been teams that have already played.

I think Salei is more solid of a defenseman and has the experience needed for the Wings this time of year. But that's just me.

I got Pav with 17 goals in a 17-0 Detroit Red Wings victory.

Good stuff. Nice to recognize Lidstrom as a leader in the league. Staal too for that matter.

This has probably already been said, but they are really overdoing these overhead camera angles. Stick to the basics.

Real tough break for Ozzie. Really didn't give up a bad goal in my eyes. Hate to say it, but un-Lidstrom like turnover by Nick there at the end. Oh well. It is what it is. Still got a point. LGW

#2059565 Why is St. Louis doing so good?

Posted by Ram on 08 November 2010 - 10:09 AM

My guess the Blues are doing well: I'm not going to lie. They are a good team. They have young, upstart talent that has been growing the past few seasons and after adding Halak they really are a contender in the division. I don't think they can keep up their current pace, but who can? Good luck to them, and LGW :siren:

I really hate how Crosby gets in a fight and it's suddenly big news on ESPN and the first two highlighted stories on NHL.com. Why is it such a big deal? Didn't do much, Pens lost 5-2. I understand he is a posterboy, but it's just gets terribly annoying that it's suddenly the only story worth talking about. Sid the Kid is not Brendan Morrow or Jarome Iginla. He is a goal scorer. He needs to get off his high horse. I think Sidney Crosby is an unbelievable hockey player. I think his attitude and respect for the game and his opponents needs to change. Not because of incidents like this, but because of things like cheap shots (cross checks, crotch shots), refusing to shake hands after the playoffs, etc.
