Someone bump this thread during the playoffs, it'll be funny
On the side note, I wouldn't trade him. The Wings have invested a lot in him since he entered the league and they're not really one of those teams that go about trading their players when they're going through slumps. He may not seem like it to some at the moment, but I can assure you that he'll find his game sometime soon in the near future
No, not that I can remember. He only breaks it out every once in a blue moon but when he does use it it's automatic. He maybe got in a little too close and couldn't elevate it this time around, but Smith did a nice job.
Yeah, he didn't elevate it as high as he normally does. Smith stayed in the goal well enough too. Usually the goalies tend to over commit and it leaves more of an opening.

First White blocking a shot with his face and now this. Although it was a horrific scene, this just shows how much heart the team has to sacrifice themselves to block a single shot. I'm sure Eaves didn't intend to block it with his ear, but every time a player blocks any shot they risk having something like that happen. That, to me, shows they have heart, not to mention balls!
Steve Yzerman had 137 points in his 92-93 season and it dropped down to 82 points in 93-94, it has to be because he had that daughter of his! Nevermind him playing 30 games less and switching to a more defensive style. Damn those babies!
