I heard the NHL didn't even draw a 1 rating which his horrific in game 1. But, I have no link, just heard it on the radio.

Hence whY i'm asking.

Here's a link from nhl.com

Highest rated game 1 in 12 years. Still didn't come close to beating SCF Game 6 last year which was the highest rated game in 36 years or something like that.

James Wisniewski ($3.000m)

I would love to have him on the Wings, but no way it happens at this price. He made 3.25m this year and was 5th in the league in points for d-men, he's going to be getting a pretty big raise this off-season. Same with Ehrhoff, love to have him on the team, but 3.5m won't bring him here.

Leighton has a one-way deal, so his money will still stay in the cap no matter where he plays.

And I'm 95% sure that the Flyers won't even try to sign Zherdev. But they may still have to let Leino go. Leino could ask 3,5m (max) but that would mean going to the FA market and probably to some s***ty team. I think it would be wise to him to understand that and be happy with 3m or less.

All a one-way deal means is that Leighton is paid the same no matter where he plays, NHL or AHL. Since Leighton is younger than 35, his contract comes off of the cap if he passes through waivers and is sent down to the AHL, but they still have to pay him at his NHL salary since he doesn't have a 2-way deal.

In Topic: Nabokov claimed by NYI, refuses to report, suspended

First - You assume that Nabby reports and plays up to expectations. If he reports and doesn't play well due to lack of motivation the first part of the win/win is a lose.

Second, if the contract is tolled and have a goalie with a no trade clause so Nabby gets to decide if he wants to veto the trade and that makes it damn near impossible to trade him. So that's also a lose.

The ONLY way that this is a win/win is if Nabby wakes up one morning and decides that he wants to play for the Islanders. Based on what he has said previously, this is not going to happen.

On paper, it's a win/win but hockey isn't played on paper.

If he plays this year, he'll be playing for a contract for next year. If he doesn't play well he's only hurting himself, it's not like he can hurt the Islanders in the standings.

In regards to the NMC, he doesn't want to be an Islander anyway, so any deal that has him going to a good team he'll most likely be OK with. (Just my opinion here, you could be right and turn down any trade, I don't know what's going on in his head)
