#2304461 Excited and Optimistic

Posted by 8 Legged RedWing on 31 May 2012 - 09:11 PM

We are NOT that deep, as most farm boys who we've been giving shots to have really been disappointing thus far. Kindl, Emmerton, Mursak to name a few. You think these guys are the future? Sure, there's potential in Nyquist and Smith but it's way too early to tell and I see 3rd line at best. I mean, Babcock himself commented on his brilliantly after we got eliminated, basically saying we were putting 3rd and 4th line guys on our 1st and 2nd. I mean, Abdelkader a 2nd line center? Give me a break.

Please tell me how those three, especially Mursak in his short stints have "really been disappointing." Are you expecting them to score on every shift? Mursak brings the same speed and energy we see from Helm. There is no way if Nyquist pans out to his full potential, that he is a 3rd liner at best. If he adds a little strength to his game, he would compliment the 1st or 2nd line great next year. Who cares we lost in the first round. It wasn't our year. That doesn't mean we automatically don't have a good team. Do Pitt and Van have terrible teams as well?

Actually you are the one who fails, nice try though.

It's not bandwagon when I support the city I have GROWN UP in. The Nashville Predators are my team and always have been. When I was younger and living in Canada I enjoyed hockey but never followed any specific team or built up a dedication. I was in fact a child and had 10000000000 other things to worry about at the time. Sorry if this upsets your balance of thinking but the word bandwagon means something totally different than your assumption of me.

Thanks for playing though, you gave it your best!

There are few Red Wing bandwagon fans. Most of us are fans because our parents were fans, and their parents were fans, and their parents were fans... etc. That kind of tradition and connection to the family stays with you no matter where you live or how long it's been since the last Stanley Cup. Something you can't relate to. The Preds if anyone, could be described as having bandwagon fans since their popularity has no doubt spiked being that they have a chance to do something these playoffs for once and they have brand new disgusting mustard yellow jerseys that you all will delusionally buy.

Honestly, I think there will be tons of talk about this going on when it is the offseason... but yea obviously his ankle is still not at 100% but it's not just his play that benefits the team. He is like a 2nd coach on the ice when he plays.

#2280574 Stand behind your Wings!

In my honest opinion. I think the Wings have a good chance at winning it all. Realistically, any team in the playoffs does and it's only a matter of playing well at the right times. We have at times the best top 6 in the game and if they start firing on all cylinders, nobody can stop them. It's going to be tough and they NEED to stay healthy during the entire run but by no means is it out of the question. It's going to boil down to how bad this team wants it. How bad they want to possibly send Lids out on top and I'll be there the whole way cheering them on and believing until the end. And if they don't get it done, I'll just say 2013 Stanley Cup Champions sounds better anyways :hehe: LGW!!!

Huge game would be an understatement. Playing them on the road will show where this teams head is really at heading into the playoffs. I'm gonna be optimistic and say 3-2 Wings.

I just want to see some pride and effort. Play like you know what's on the line and this should be a W.

Tough loss but they will bounce back. Still a lot of hockey to be played.

#2274864 Do the Pens Have the Cup Locked Up?

Posted by 8 Legged RedWing on 28 March 2012 - 02:57 PM

I don't really care if they do or if they don't. I don't concern myself with the goings on of teams that aren't the Detroit Red Wings.

Lol why did you get negged for a simple, honest response?

To say the Pens have the cup locked up is kinda ridiculous. They may be one of the favorites but nobody is a lock and that's why they play the games. I know Crosby doesn't look rusty now which is insane considering how many games he has missed but the playoffs are a different beast and I will be interested to see if he will still be able to match the high tempo of play as everyone else for 4 full rounds.
