#2236617 Like A BOSS

Posted by 8 Legged RedWing on 16 December 2011 - 11:35 PM

I love when Pav surprises people with hits. He does it all the time. But Shanny is a bigger boss.

This is the top comment right now for this video. Which I thought was hilarious.

"I'm Brendan Shanahan, the National Hockey League's senior Vice-President of Player Safety, last night in Carolina, an incident occurred during a playoff game between the Detroit Red Wings and Carolina Hurricanes. At 4:17 in the 3rd period, some hairy ***** started yelling at me. So I told her to go shave her greasy f***ed up armpits. The video clearly shows that this revolting lesbian does, indeed, need to keep her unruly bodyhair under control. For these reasons, I am the man."

Not happy about this loss at all. Regardless, I think this is our best team since '09. We look good even when we lose like today. I probably won't say this again and this seems like as random a spot as any to say it but I honestly think this team is in for a cup run. I'm not afraid to say it after a meaningless regular season loss. We look good. Damn good. Howard will be key.

That's a bummer about Conner as well. He was playing better then I ever expected the past few games and was finally starting to hit his stride. Good thing we are very deep right now.

Needs less Ericsson... I feel like he is the anti-Lidstrom. Lidstrom at all times appears to be thinking ahead of everyone else. He is a thought quicker then the entire opposing team at most times. Ericsson is a thought slower than everyone else.

Besides for the obvious though, I agree it is frustrating to lose to the same teams in the same way over and over. Good thing we are coming home for a couple games because we can't afford to have losing streaks of any kind with how tight the WC is.

I feel like it needs to be some kind of team with history. The Sharks don't have a whole lot of history. Perhaps we could play the Wild. Detroit is rivals with Minnesota in every other sport just about so I'm sure it would be a good game for the fans and players.

With defensive plays like last night against Nashville, I'd really dislike seeing him leave.

Yea for real. Talk about right place right time. I hope he stays because he is definitely solid for his price and I couldn't care less if he fights anymore.

I had a dream Hank scored 2 goals in his next game. It wasn't a crazy dream but I woke up feeling like they played yesterday and he scored twice. Sooo I'm going to say we win with two goals from Zetterberg lol.

No Brunnstrom?

(It's actually not that big of a deal but I'm anxious to see him play his first real game with us.)

They are 70 MPH pitches down the middle in batting practice. It was cocky to say, especially when he failed to show up a couple games. Furthermore I'm sure he could jack 10/10 in batting practice if he really wanted to. Again, they are 70 MPH pitches down the middle, I would hope he can do that seeing how he is the best hitter in all of baseball. They might even be 60 MPH for all I know, figured 70 was a nice, round number

Get Real

It was very fun to watch, no doubt, I'll agree all day with that. Not hear though. Keep your mouth shut, take care of your business and you'll do fine. You ever hear any Red Wings opening up their mouth?

Didn't think so - Go aboot your business

I wasn't upset with Cruz taunting Verlander, Cabrera started it. It's not like Verlander did anything out-of-the-ordinary special in the playoffs anyways. Once in a lifetime regular season, meh post season.

I fear the backlash

I never even heard of Cabby saying anything but let me get this straight. You're upset that Cabby said something during batting practice when Cabrera has always been a light hearted guy who jokes around at all times but you're cool with Cruz taunting our pitcher in the middle of an LCS? You're sure you're a Tigers fan?

A crappy way to go out, for sure. Despite that, though, this team was a great time. Like GoWings said, it was a close series that could have easily been 3-2 Tigers headed back to Texas. I'm not ashamed to say that the Tigers lost to the best team in the American League and I'm proud of them for getting where they did.

Let the off-season begin. Illitch is talking about big free agent signings and the Tigers have some obvious holes to fill, but are still in a really good spot to do it all again next year.

Yea, a great season despite the disappointing end. If you told me at the beginining of the season we would have made it to game 6 in the ALCS I would have been super happy with that. That means we did a lot of good things to get there and we did.

Illitch has said he is looking to add another big bat during the off season. I have no idea who that could be but my guess is maybe a 2nd or 3rd baseman. That's about the only hole we need to fill once Boesch comes back and now that we have Young. We'll see though, it was a good season none the less. Now time for the Lions and Wings to give this city something to cheer about.

I am so pumped for this game. I'm also pretty nervous but I will still enjoy this game win or lose like I have all year. It's been a great season. I'm not ready to stop watching baseball just yet so hopefully the Tigers cam pull a win out here somehow and force a game 7.

Scherzer has got to keep the ball down or else the Rangers are going to smack him all over that park. If he does that, our hitters will put up their share of runs. Let's do this.

Tonight's forward lines:

Eaves and Brunnstrom out.

This is different from the OP lines. (Eaves in for Homer) but if these are correct, I find it odd that Eaves isn't playing on a regular basis. Even if they have had two pretty good games as a team. I'm also anxious to see when Brunnstrom gets his first regular season start as well. I hope it's on Saturday.

The TIgers, probably.

Yea that's definitely the reason. It's not every year these two teams play at the same time in October.

What a game these past two have been! We should be able to light up A.J. tomorrow but you never know in the post season.
