#2351222 Mike Ilitch's Apearance

Posted by 55fan on 05 February 2013 - 07:36 AM

Really, people?  This is how you show gratitude and respect for the guy who took a heartbreak of wreckage, turned it around, and gave us four more Stanley Cups and made us the envy of the league?

Not to mention whatever he's done with the Tigers and for the city of Detroit and his charitable contributions.

I hope some day you get old and see how you like it.

Kids these days.

Zetterberg is now peeing in the OP's Cheerios.

don't care. he was a great hockey player, but you can't take anything he says about hockey seriously anymore

Sounds like someone wasn't invited to Wayne Gretzky's Fantasy Camp.

#2342374 1/19: Red Wings 0 at St. Louis Blues 6

Red Wings looked like Jackman's penis tonight.

Small, soft, and manhandled by the Blues roster.

I have an idea for a fun game.

Everyone guess

a) which Wing will score first

b) who will get the first assists

c) which month it will happen in

#2339762 What the Wings are doing for the fans

Posted by 55fan on 13 January 2013 - 01:01 PM

You know what I want them to do for the fans?

Win the Cup.

Then let each of us spend a day with it. (Not holding my breath on that one.)

#2338998 Zetterberg named Captain, 36th Captain in Red Wings History

Posted by Red Wings Addict on 10 January 2013 - 10:34 AM

Slighty off-topic, but does anyone know when Nick's number retirement ceremony will be?  Will they have it sometime this season, or wait until the start of next season in the fall?

Next season.

Should be pretty nice now that they have a lot of time to plan for it.

#2337922 NHL, NHLPA reach tentative agreement on new CBA

Posted by Bring Back The Bruise Bros on 06 January 2013 - 01:57 PM

These crybabies have no clue how many people they have impacted whining about who gets the bigger piece of their multi-million dollar pie. How about the employees that didn't work during the lockout? Not one mention of them by the league or the players.

This lockout has displayed their true colors. The NHL is nothing but a corporation that will put anyone and everyone at risk to ensure that they make as large a profit as possible. The blatant disregard for the fans and the hourly employees is both offending and intolerable.

What a magical last-minute deal to ensure that they can continue to pocket their millions. They didn't do it for the fans, they did it because they were feeling increased pressure from their corporate sponsors to get a deal done.

"Thank You Fans!"

NHL Center Ice should be free for this season. Would be a nice thing for the fans but I highly doubt it happens.

if there's one thing i've learned through all of this, it's that the NHL doesn't care about the fans.... so i don't see that happening.

#2318920 How bad are we if our roster is now finalized?

Posted by GoWings1905 on 13 July 2012 - 11:46 AM

All I hear is wah wah wah. I'll be smiling in May when we are in the playoffs yet again.

Considering the Red Wings didn't even play in May this past season, that would be a reason to smile going forward.
