What do you expect they will be enjoying their off seasons after making their 7 figure salaries. Us fans are the ones who have to suffer the most b/c we want it more than they do!

Right now all I can say is go Flyers & go Kings and then I'll be satisfied if two biggest crybaby teams e.g. Pens & Canucks get knocked off.

The thing that I cant understand is how terrible the play in our own end is.

This started about 8 years ago. Blind passes up the middle from the D. Forwards no where to be found. BTW, where the F is our center in the D zone? How do we have this issue year in and year out?

Now that Lids is showing his age it has gotten much worse. How can Ken Holland look at this team and feel comfortable that we have a cup contendor?

Our D used to be the strength of this team and now its bordering on a complete joke. If we dont fix this D next year we may really be looking at missing the playoffs in the near future.

When I post stuff like this you guys all cry about it. But the fact is that its the truth the Wings are no longer good enough to win the Cup with this current squad so the onus is on Kenny Holland to fix it.

Sorry Lenny, I'm happy to say you'll never be seen in the Cathedral known as Joe Louis Arena again. You'll never get a more "firm"position to win than a clinching game on your ice unless you're just saying "I Lenny Sankar can only show up with a 3-0 series lead."

maybe if your as big of a fan as you claim to be then you should have faith in the organization and management that has given its city and you 4 cups since the mid 90's... a higher total then any other franchise. to admit defeat after a flukey game 1 loss makes you sound like a whiner (especially given the success of the team in your life as a fan).

so do what you want bud, chant sign parise/suter/weber.... real classy. maybe the rest of the league is right when they call our team/fans a bunch of whiners... your sure not helping our cause.

* and ask a toronto fan if they would mind waiting every 4 years for a cup and see what their response is.

Well when the team is not winning then the fans have a right to whine about it. And I didn't admit defeat after game 1 as I admitted defeat in the playoffs long before the playoffs started. All I said was that this team is not good enough to win the cup this year. Do you want me to just predict a Wings Cup b/c they are my team? Sure I'll go crazy if I am wrong but the facts don't lie as our team is not talented enough this year to win so we have to deal with it and the only way to deal with it is if Kenny gets the needed help in the offseason.

Tell me anyone won't rejoice if Pekka Rinne were to get injured and be done for the series?

why not just become a f***in preds fan if your going to slobber all over weber and suters knees. or even better yet... cheer for the blackhawks, you'd fit right in on that bandwagon where they only are fans when they're winning (sounds like you).

Why would I jump on another teams bandwagon? When did I say I was rooting against the Wings? All I am doing is conceding that the Wings won't win the Cup this year and I don't see what's wrong with that.

The fact that the losses hurt me more than is hurts the players shows how big of a fan that I am and I expect nothing but the best from this hockey club and 4+ years without a Cup is long overdue in my books as we are not Leaf fans and thus deserve the best.

Well I don't know about you guys but I don't understand why people keep talking about cutting down injuries & cheapshots when we all know they will never stop b/c we all know players want the other teams players to get injured b/c those teams will be easier to beat. Also fans want the teams other players to miss time due to injury b/c they get a better chance of watching their team win. Case in point I have no problem if the Preds suffer a rash of injuries or Pens, Canucks, Sharks for that matter. In the world of sports its all about looking out for #1 and just getting your team to win or the team that you have cash on if you are a bettor.

I think the league has to accept that professional sports is all about winning and the only way to put away the injury/cheapshot issues to bed is to legalize it and let the players all knock each other out until we have no healthy bodies left and then they will learn their lessons only then.

Also you have to look at the coaching and I bet if you ask any NHL coach if they would like Cindy Crybaby injured or healthy and all 29 coaches will say they rather him injured b/c he can't hurt me from the press box. It's that plain & simple b/c winning is everything in pro sports and if you have a chance to injure someone with a clean hit you do so and if you want to take a cheapshot to injure someone you do it at your own risk as there will be some retribution from the other teams players.

I really wanted to post a "don't feed the troll" image, but after this one, I fear you're legitimately serious and I have to spell something out for you.

You can be a homer if you want to.  That's totally your call.  You can also be a negative fair weather fan that is no better than Chicago fans when the Blackhawks were suddenly in position to be good and win their first Stanley Cup.  So what if you think they're not going to take it all this year?  You're not alone.  But the least you can do is support your team until the end if you really believe you're an actual fan.  

That's what I would do at least.  As a result, I have a right to tell you that if you aren't willing to watch the games on TV or in person then you aren't a real fan anyway.

Because quite frankly, it might have killed me to see what you saw in 2009, but I would have done a lot of things to be there, and it sounds like to me you didn't deserve to be there in the first place.

Actually I definitely deserved to be in attendance for game 7 2009 as I was ready to have a Cup party the morning of the game but when I went to the game it was a total disappointing experience thanks to the Wings performance. They gave me nothing to cheer for and forced me to have to watch my most hated team hoist a cup in my teams homce ice. So believe me you don't want to kill to be in a position to watch your team drop the biggest game of the year to a bunch of cry babies and have there fans invade your arena to add insult to injury.

As far as me predicting the future goes, well I didn't predict who will win the Cup but I can definitely tell it won't be the Wings but if you are too stubborn to believe that then that's your own opinion. I felt good about 2008 and it was all good, then I was iffy in 2009 and they came up 1 game short and then the last 3 post-seasons I have basically waved the white flag at a Cup b/c they are too undermanned!
