He was unnoticeable. In the good way.

i laughed out loud when they showed abby and smith driving to the arena in the snow storm, and when other vehicles were spinning abby said to smith "that's like you on ice!"

Didn't watch the game. I chose to watch paint dry instead. Looks like I chose well.

Someone should break their stick on Gudas with a good cross check just so the game isn't a total loss.

#2464530 Thornton suspended 15 games.

Posted by DickieDunn on 14 December 2013 - 08:28 PM

Man, I really hope you're not defending Oprik.  He's a POS who's been suspended before, is known as a dirty player and has taken knee on knee liberties with many players including our own boys.

To me, what happened to Oprik is Karma at this point.

Orpik is a dirty POS.  If you respond to dirty play with dirty play, you have no room to talk though.  If I was in Thornton's position and Orpik wouldn't go, I'd line up one of his guys and drive him through the boards would a good clean hit and tell him to thank Brooks for the hit.

I hate to be That Guy, but how many two-goal leads have we blown this season? Something like 30? I hope The Hockey Gods aren't trolling us.

#2462024 Weiss

His stats aren't what is most alarming. The way he looks on the ice is what is worrying. I wouldn't be surprised if he's acting all pissy because of the way Babcock is using him. He looked like a great player his first 2 shifts of the year than absolutely nothing and since his return from injury and his extra responsibility now has been even worse

If you mix Robert Lang's work ethic with Dan Cleary's skillset, you get what Steven Weiss has looked like this season.

Brunner hasn't scored since 10/26? Yikes.

Good thing it's Buffalo.

(Nah, we're gonna lose.)

I dread every game that comes to OT. I am at the point where I just accept that they are going to lose. They can not play 4 on 4 hockey. I'm tired of watching failed come backs. I want to see our boys finish a damn game for once

#2447126 Ericsson out 2-3 weeks

watching the highlights from the playoffs last year with hawks shows a crime that Gus and his speed aren't on this squad right now...

Too many Guses here.

Lashoff was desperate on that 5 on 3 kill, was great too see. Smith better feel that hot flame under his ass only getting hotter!!!

I like having Lashoff on the team. He's bigger than Smith, better defensively, and more poised. Best of all, I don't tense up when he has the puck!

Tatar > Brunner

#2437184 Devils sign Brunner 2 yrs. $2.5 million AAV

Posted by kipwinger on 17 September 2013 - 02:31 PM

Tatar > Brunner.  Weiss > Filppula.  Cleary = Cleary.  Alfie is icing on the cake.

Not really sure how we're worse off for this?  Brunner is a good player, but I think we'll be just fine without spending big money for him.

I am curious to see whether NJ will use him on the PP point, or put him on the side boards like he should have been in Detroit.  Utilized correctly I think he'll be MUCH more effective on the PP this season.
