I heard the booing and thought that the fans were being classless jerks, but then I realized that it was for Bettman :flash: It made me feel proud to be a Red Wings fan when I heard the applause for the Penguins players, and it was awesome to see how many Red Wings jerseys were in the stands for a long time.

Thanks again for another great run, I've enoyed it tremendously. I would sign up for seasons like this any year.

The disappointment is starting to subside for me. I was VERY upset with the pathetic effort during the end of the first and the whole second periods, but I'm starting to think they just ran out of whatever it is that you need to keep this up. We can tlak all we want about how the Wings did NOT do something, but in the end it was the Penguins that simply beat them. That's the reality of sports, and I'm starting to accept it. Tomorrow I'm going to play some golf, wearing my Red Wings hat. Look at it this way: they went all the way to the finals two years in a row, we got treated to a game 7 against a fabulous team, and don't forget that we've seen some top notch hockey. I've enjoyed this season and I am looking forward to next year.

Kudos for sure to the Penguins. They wanted it more, they worked harder for it, they played harder, on the edge and often way over it, and they simply beat the Red Wings to the Cup. Hat's off (literally )

Last night was "battle octopus" on Iron Chef, and what they put together did look tasty. It was the perfect episode before tonight's game

Last year my wife picked up a champ hat the day after they won at Dick's, and it was a zoo in there. You can tell it was a rush job, because the Wings logo is on there crooked . I was at Dick's last night and they had a sign saying that if the Wings win the Stanley Cup, they would be open the next morning at 7am with Stanley Cup merch.

I don't understand why he is continuously questioned about his abilities. The man has his name on the Cup 3 times, and is very close to number 4. He gets voted player of the game almost every other game. He's been outstanding throughout the playoffs. So what if he had a bit of a slump during the regular season, he got out of it didn't he. I'd say he is one of the biggest stars on the entire team, is at the top in most meaningful stats in Wings history, and a big reason for many people to come to the Joe. IMHO his number belongs in the rafters of the Joe. I think it's time for the Red Wings to give Ozzie some 'real' money, and put his contract in the elite bracket, just where he is as a player.

I think he already is, there's a lot less whining coming from Cindy this year. You can tell he wants to, but he's surprisingly quiet to the media. Hat's off to Bylsma, he is a class act. It's refreshing to get a good introspective from both coaches in their post game pressers. Chicago lost it completely when their coach lost it on the bench and didn't stop crying about it to the media. Pittsburg's most dangerous weapon is their coach.

I've always been annoyed by Milbury's bias, but it seems like he's turning it around and he's clearly enjoying the Red Wings play, I've noticed that during earlier series and now in the finals. Pierre patheticness is just funny to me, 'his team' is completely outplayed, 3-1 behind in the game, about to go 2-0 for the series, and he keeps saying how things are looking great for the Penguins. Milbury seems to slowly be making up his mind that the Red Wings are actually a great team, and is giving them a lot of respect. That exchange was hilarious. My favorite quote: Take a chill pill Pierre, you're struggling!!

I agree, what's wrong with a little extra stoppage if that means they get a chance to correct an obvious mistake, like the disallowed goal. I don't think you should get penalty minutes when a challange is not help up, but maybe loss of time-out, like in football.

For sure that's fake, but really.... $150 for a 'real replica'???? I thought $125 for the CCM sweaters was already too expensive. Are the names even stitched on anymore?
