another fine example of how the NHL fails as a league. why can't the refs and linesmen get together after a called penalty and discuss it? this is one of the worst things in the nhl. imagine what Joannette was thinking after that call. he's standing there knowing it's not a penalty and yet can't do anything about it because the 2nd ref put his arm up which apparently is a penalty set in stone. no way the refs can ever make a mistake right? if their arm goes up it's a penalty 100% for sure right? no need to discuss with people who might have a better vantage point. so yeah, f*** you mccreary and f*** you NHL, the most incompetent league in all of professional sports

agreed. unfortunately for us this means getting screwed. how the hell else can you explain gill, orpik, scuderi, and gonchar being in the same league as zetterberg, datsyuk, hossa, and franzen? what happened, they all suddenly turned into lidstroms out there? or did our guys turn into kunitz and guerin? ... magically this series is tied at 3

game 3 ericsson gets an interference call that was garbage (great timing too 2-2 game 10mins to go in 3rd), meanwhile gil and orpik get away with much worse every single shift. game 6 we get no calls our way until about 7 mins left to go in 3rd, and both of those were so obvious that they had no choice but to call them. the second goal should never have happened because lidstrom was clearly obstructed with and it allowed the pens to keep the play in our zone and eventually score. why was it let go? because it's only 1-0 at that point. that's why. and what about the garbage call on zetterberg in the 1st?

i have absolutely no doubt the Wings will step up and win game 7. reason: TOP TO BOTTOM THEY ARE BETTER IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY, and also... I trust the Stanley Cup to Pavel. He won't let us down.

the thing i don't understand is why does it have to be either this saturday or next friday? what's wrong with monday or tuesday? TV ratings? it's really pathetic how the nhl continues to work everything around the small US fan base. if you put game one on monday afternoon half of canada would still tune in. i wonder what else will be on tv saturday for americans to watch? nascar? nba? baseball? golf? spelling bee?
