Fighting in hockey starts as young as the peewee level. For the NHL to ban fighting or to think they can ban fighting is ridiculas. It obviously helps to settle scores, cheap shots and to send messages. After the fight, its hockey as usual and players shake hands. End of story. FSN was just looking for a little quick publicity.

The guy I heard this from is well connected person. Not that that means a whole lot but I just thought it was interesting. I knew that cap was pretty much maxed out already and so there would be no Dollars for Shanny. The up side is Shanny can fight and would give the Wings a "Drake" type presence that they needed last year. I also thought I could break out my 14 jersey for old times sake

Why Schneider didnt stay 2 years ago and take the same or a few less dollars from the Wings is beyond me? Did he have a choice or was is pure money when he left the Wings? To bad they waited so long to cut his butt loose or we may have signed him again.
