#2212521 EA's prediction for 2011-12

Posted by RedWingsRox on 05 October 2011 - 08:28 PM

A primate correctly selected the winners of almost every series a few years ago. What's your point?

Picking the winner of a series (when given who the two teams are) is a 50/50 proposition. Picking who wins the Stanley Cup (2010), President's Trophy winner, or the finalists of a SCF is a total different statistical exercise. If you don't know the difference, you are the primate or Neanderthal.

With those guys looking out for your back ... literally, you'll have a great year Howie. Classy gesture.

Sad sad day for the Wings family, NHL, and KHL. Reminds you that life is fragile and that everyday is a gift.

#2198864 Where Does The Referee Appear From?

Really? Are you that blind? 0.03 of video, far left side, clearly there is a ref in that area.

#2197865 Wings re-sign MacDonald to 2 year contract

Posted by RedWingsRox on 11 July 2011 - 11:43 AM

Not sure if I want to relive this saga again. Don't get me wrong, I love Ozzie and think the world of him but I think his time is up. I remember it being very painful when our 1-2-3 was Howie, Ozzie, MacDonald :( . Babcock had absolutely no confidence in Ozzie cuz he would be scored on in the first 3 minutes and the team would play tentative and play catch up hockey. So Babcock overplayed Howard and tired him out. We need a backup that can get us about 20 starts and about 12-15 wins ...

#2197860 Interesting Info. Regarding Jagr and FA Fiasco

Um ... have you been on a remote island for the past 2 weeks? Old news pal.

#2195100 Forward lines next season?

Posted by RedWingsRox on 02 July 2011 - 10:30 AM

Well, look on the bright side, with all these millions that Kenny is not spending and saving for the Ilitchs, the price of Caesar's pizza should go down by $0.50 per

#2194315 Wings sign D Mike Commodore to 1-year, $1m contract

Posted by RedWingsRox on 01 July 2011 - 02:41 PM

Commodore was only making $1.4M in CB and he got bought out. Why the hell would you offer him another $1M, that's like giving a reject player a raise ... so he gets the buyout money and now a $1M from us ??!!

Damn ... if only Stevie Y was still around, he would have prevented this stupidity.

#2194297 RFA/UFA Signings

#2193563 Wings not offering contract to Jagr

Glorious day !! Almost makes up for the Ericsson signing.

#2193351 Wings re-sign Eaves to 3-year, $3.6m contract

Posted by RedWingsRox on 01 July 2011 - 10:04 AM

I'm going to have to insist that my 8 yr old play defence position.

Ericsson at $3.25M/yr, Wiz at $5.5M/yr ... Eaves at $1.2M/yr ??

#2187153 Lidstrom agrees to 1-year, $6.2m contract

Posted by RedWingsRox on 20 June 2011 - 10:26 AM

$6.2 is fine ... salary cap is going up, Ralfalski's $6 mill is off our cap ... you can't pay him 2nd tier D-man money like $4-5 mill, he deserves the kind of respect of a top tier Dman and Captain. Those of you who thinks he should pay for free .. stop being so cheap. We want to be a classy organization.

#2181766 Colin Campbell Steps Down

Glorious day for hockey. Now the only other thing that could be better is if Bettman announces his retirement tomorrow.

#2179724 Interesting possibilities in trading with Philly.

I think they should just give us Carter for us giving them Leino  .

#2179196 Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons

Posted by RedWingsRox on 24 May 2011 - 06:20 PM

Look over the long term. Wisniewski had one good season. Rafalski has had many more than that.

There is no comparison.

You're right, no comparison. Rafalski is 38, Wisniewski is 27. Rafalski is winding down/ending his career. Wis is just hitting his prime.
