I can't see why the Wings would need to sign Vokoun. Sure I can see them having interest in him but with Jimmy as our starter why would we need to spend the money on him. Our main concern should be signing a back-up goalie.

Not quite sure what to expect from this signing. I can't see why the Wings would sign him as a GR goalie and not solve Detroit's back-up goalie issue. Is Holland losing his mind or is this just a single part of a genius plan for the Wings. I guess only time will tell. No disrespect but I hope Osgood isn't our back-up in the NHL. I was hoping to see that we signed Conklin I just hope Kenny knows what he's doing.

Emmerton for sure. The Wins have put so much into him and he's been in the organization for quite a long time he deserves a shot at making the team. Conner can be a call-up if necessary.

Overall I felt it was a decent first day of Free Agency for the Wings. They signed 2 forwards and 2 defensemen. No really big names but all players strong and able to play a good game here. We want a Big Name Free Agent Signing becasue we want something Big to talk about during the off-season and while signing Big Name Free Agents can be and are great players it's not always the way to go. What matters is Standings, Playoff Position and Championships. I know we had a lot of Cap Space Available but that doesn't mean we should just go blow it. If we can sign 3 or 4 players that can do the same for the price of 1 player than I'm all for that. This team doesn't really make a whole bunch of major deals early in free agency. I say we just play it by ear and see what happens. Yes I want to get the best possible players for the best possible price and whatever that means if it means signing them now or waitin to see if their prices will go down the closer we get to the season. Most improtantly IMO is doing what wee need to do to bring and Championship back to this Organzation.

Well there's one in every crowd and I guess I'll be the one to say NO. I just don't like the idea of trading players like Kindl, and Larsson; especially since we haven't given either one a fair chance at proving themselves on this roster, and I definetly HATE trading ANY Draft Picks away. I'm not saying that it wouldn't work I'm just saying I don't like it. Not a bad idea and it's great thinking I love that you are willing to think outside the box as you said but I just don't like the players involved. Bogosian is the only player I wouldn't mind having. Mason is a good quality goalie and probably would be a fine back-up but it's just not a route I'd want to go without knowing how Larsson and Kindl could play for us.

This is the best signing so far in my honest opnion I know he's had his ups and downs since being here in Detroit but with him being so young I can see him improving and continuing to get better so I am glad to have him back because I believe he will be a better player in the long run.

These camps have always been held in Detroit at the Joe but this year they dedided to do it in TC. If I had the money I'd be going to this Camp as well as the NHL Prospect Tournament and Red Wings Training Camp but I can't afford all of them. The tickets are only $5 which is a great deal. If you want to see the Draft Picks and some of the other Prospects than I would suggest you go it's probably not as grand as the NHL Prospects Tournament that's held in September before the Red Wings Training Camp. I've never been to the Development/Strength and Conditiong Camp but it sounds like a Ton of fun and it's a Shot of Hockey in the dead of Summer which for me is always AWESOME. The Arena is a very nice facility and the staff is equally nice so if you have the money I would go otherwise wait until September and go to the NHL Prospect Tourney and see 6 or 8 teams worth of Prospects. I would go just to get as much hockey as I can a but like I said I've never been to one of these but if you want a glimpse at future Red Wings players it's probably worth it.

That's great news to me. I'm glad Salei is going as far as MacDonald I think we could find a decent free agent goalie if we don't keep Ozzie either. I'd rater go after a UFA Goalie than bring back Ozzie with all the troubles he's had latley.

It was great to see Tim win the Conn Smythe and the Cup!! He definetly deserves it. I'm thrilled the Bruins won the Cup there is at least 3 players on th Bruins that has a Michigan Connection. Tim Thomas being From Flint Michigan. Mark Recchi played for the old Muskegon Lumberjacks in the old IHL and Chris Kelly played for the Muskegon Fury in the UHL so it was definetly great to see all of them get the Cup. Nice work Timmy Thomas and the Boston Bruins Congrats!!

I hope that the Wings don't resign Osgood or Draper. Let's use that Cap and Roster space for someone else. Bring Emmerton up this coming season and go after a couple new free agents. Resign MacDonald or even a Free Agent Goalie or something Say bye to Miller and Eaves and let's go after some new blood; something that could give us a little spark on the roster to get the guys going and ready to chase another Cup.

If Jagr comes to Detroit I will VOMIT repeatedly. If Holland is a smart GM he will say Piss Off Jaromir go back to Russia.

It's not a great idea but maybe start a Petition, I'd sign it.

Well I'm certainly rooting for Boston for two main reasons. 1 They are an Orginal Six Team. 2. I can't stand Canadian Teams. With that being said I do think that Vancouver will win. I hope it's a good long series but I just feel that The Canucks have to much firepower and depth on the roster that it will just take over at some point and smother the Bruins. I'm excited to see a Goalie Match-up like Louie and Timmy that one should be good but in the end I think I will have to accept that a Canadain Team is going to Win the Cup this season. Thanks but No Thanks. Drapes has been a great player but his age is catching up with him and he hasn't been as good as he was when he was younger. Let's bring someone up from GR that can fill his spot.
