#2063434 Banging on the glass at the Joe illegal?

Posted by softshoes on 15 November 2010 - 04:10 PM

Here is a little tid bit if you break the glass you buy the glass, example if kids hockey has a game there and the glass breaks during play not a problem but if your kid hits the glass with his or her stick and it breaks and it is not an accident there parents just bought that broken pile of glass

That's not a pile of broken glass. That's E-Bay souvenirs material. Turn those lemons into lemonade.

Maybe he hooked up with "Snookie" from Jersey Shore.

Hooking up with her would not be a healthy scratch. :scared:

#2050738 5 reasons to Love/Hate the Red Wings

Posted by softshoes on 22 October 2010 - 12:08 PM

The tears of the haters sustain me. Their anguish is like a cool drink on a sweltering day. They are the Charlie Brown to our Lucy, we'll always keep pulling the football away while they continue thinking the next time will be different.

#2016301 Hawkeytown? ...barf.

Posted by softshoes on 17 July 2010 - 03:11 PM

In listing the ways Chicago has blatantly ripped off the Wings, you all forgot to mention their style of play. They draft Kane and Toews (Datsyuk and Zetterberg, anyone?), then add Hossa. They change to a puck possession style of play and mimick virtually everything the Wings did for years.

They really are like a jealous little brother, only no one ever calls them out on it except for Wings fans. Bums.

For the last 15yrs or so, probably longer, the Wings have been the cream of the NHL. What stuns me is why someone hasn't tried to play the way we do sooner.

I find Hawkeytown a pretty clever play on words. Of course their blowing up due to the cap has made my summer.

Wow, if he can get on a team that doesn't require him to start 70 games a year, maybe he can show why he's so damn good and not be burnt out in the playoffs.

Do you think SJ is ever going to figure out that the President's Banner is the one that doesn't count in the long run?

#2002892 Congrats to Dino and Jimmy D.

Good job boys.

#1998215 "Detroit sucks" chant at Cup celebration?

Posted by softshoes on 11 June 2010 - 01:03 PM

But Chicago didn't beat Detroit on the road to winning their Cup, now did they? That's got to sting a bit. Winning once is tough; winning in consecutive seasons is tougher still. Just ask our "friends" in Pittsburgh.

Yep, and Joel still hasn't beat us either.

I congratulate them, it's good for hockey when any Original 6 wins the cup. I will also enjoy watching them implode from the cap too.

#1985402 Sidney Crosby - The most hated player in the NHL

Posted by softshoes on 14 May 2010 - 09:14 PM

He is viewed as smug, arrogant and classless... when citizens of his OWN country burn his picture, in the same year that he was on a gold medal Olympic team , I think it speaks volumes of how he is viewed by majority of NHL fans...

The NHL needs to hitch it's horse to someone else, and FAST, while it still can...

Your basing this off a city that loots and riots when their team wins a conference semi-final?
Not a conference final, not a Stanley Cup but a semi-final?

Freud would have a field day around this joint. It's bordering on irrational. So are Montreal fans by the way.

I think International is the clue here.

Just saying.

#1979476 R.I.P Ernie Harwell

Posted by softshoes on 07 May 2010 - 05:27 PM

Saturday afternoon in '65, a kid of 12 chewing a stick of Beemens gum, got a Koufax BB card in the spokes of my bike(who farking knew back then)and a transistor radio hanging off my bicycle handlebars listening to the Tigs. Summer vacation just started and I got nothing but time.

I didn't have internet porn or video games when I was a kid but I had Ernie. I think I got the better deal growing up.

Last time I checked the Capitals won the President's trophy.

Yeah they did. That banner will look nice next season.

I agree. I don't know why people make such big fricken deal about it.

What, you're now the fricken grammer police? Give me a break.

Give me a finger. Then you'll have a reason to type u instead of you.

This is about someone who publishes a blog, I wasn't calling out anyone here. Seems you don't have a problem with that though.

Of course your welcome to put me on ignore, I'm sure at some point I'll get over it.

What's wrong with u for you? it's faster to type and everyone knows that u is you so why complain...

It's worse when they ask qustions and go like "wuu2?" and "wubu2"

It's fricking lazy. It's not a phone(which bothers me only a little less). Those two keystrokes must be tough on the fingers.

Save that s*** for the 911 operator.

You seriously need to have a Crosby+love avatar, just to draw more attention to yourself.

Would make these threads much more fun to watch.

I remember another guy who wrote a long post too.

Pretty sure it started, "It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times."

Yeah that was it, I think there was something about defense in his post too. I remember now, "You'll never win a cup as long as you have Coffey."
