The Howe joke was uncalled for. It's sad to see that people can't take the stride of their team winning with class like most Red Wings fans can and have done for the past 21 years. With that being said....
I'm a Blues fan. However, I wouldn't rub anything in the Red Wings face, until we have as many Stanley Cups as they have. And since the Blues have never won the cup, that will probably never happen.....
That is one of the comments from the bottom and it has to be the best one on there. I would have read the article, but the 11 stanley cup banners hanging up in the Joe muffled the sound to a dull roar. A dull roar, that's all the Blues fans bring to the table when it comes to championship talk.
Then it's the old Cujo argument. He's still getting outplayed by the other guy.
Only difference is that Cujo was making more. But then again, his numbers were better than Howard's as well.
No one is saying that Howard is out performing Rinne. When the Wings are shooting 41 times and scoring two goals, that says a lot about a defense and their goalie that they protect. Preds shoot 16 times and score 3 times. Do the math, it's a less percentage.
Preds defense has been better in front of their goalie than our boys and that has something to do with the sub .900 save percentage.
His save percentage going into this game was like .878
You call that stellar? What would you call Rinne?
Go back and count all of the goals that were scored. How many were from turnovers in our own zone? How many were off of lack of coverage from our D? How many were because our D pinched in and got beat? How many were off of bad bounces?
None of those things are any thing Jimmy can do anything about.
