Anyone's opinion of Toews changed this series? I never knew him to be such a whiny brat. Great leader that guy. On another note reports of Kane maturing seem to be true. I can't remember one problem I had with him all series.

other than that drawn on "beard" of his, he wasn't too bad- just his usual cherry-picking douchey self

but yeah Toews took a page out of cry baby Crosby's book, disappointing to see

Hopefully Helm will be healthy and ready to go next season.

would have loved to see him and DeKeyser in for this series, way things went they could well have been the difference... Hawks didn't have a single player injured

well we have one thing going for us

the Hawks are coached by Joel Quennville

we are like his kryptonite

I'm gonna say our much-maligned boy Smith for the win

LGW!

Well, unless a very different Wings team from the first period arrives, I think it's time for them to start booking tee times.  The Blackhawks came to play for at least 40 minutes.  The Wings are holding on to dear life only through the amazing ability of Howard.  I'd like to see Bickel and Shaw end up somewhere through the glass, but I don't think Nyquist bouncing off of them like a BB off a brick wall is going to make that happen.  Other than throw off the lines, which it appears that Babcock was dickering with anyway, I'm not sure that losing Flip hurt all that much.  We have zero offense.  In fact, we've all turned into Mikael "The Logo Killer" Samuelsson.  No traffic, no goals.  It's not like this is news here.  I still have a sliver of hope that somehow the WIngs can find some confidence and play like I know they are able.  Despite being down and the Hawks looking better in the first 2, I don't think they look unbeatable.  Time to go get my DRW MacFarlane dolls out and create the uber shrine on the entertainment center.  Maybe it will help?

at this point we all should be pulling out all the stops and trying anything

so yes, it's time to start playing with your dolls ;)

"These guys are really well prepared on the penalty kill."

Of course we are, it's all we play!

that's because we practice our penalty kill during our powerplays

Other than Dan Cleary, we don't have anyone who can score goals right now.

that may be the most depressing thing I've read on these forums

Franzen isn't skating at all,

he and Flip need to wake up if we're going to go anywhere

they've both been mostly non-factors save for a couple of plays so far this post-season

well it sure sucks that we won't finish them off tonight, but we still have the advantage

we know we can play a lot better than we did tonight

good lesson for the kids that you gotta put it into another gear to close out an elite team

time to re-group and get ready for Monday night

if the Wings don't win that one, then I'll be worried

Pretty much responsible for two goals.  ... :unhappy: ...I think...

Abby is in need of redemption

scoring goals is good for that, I hear

Tied w/ Franzen & Brunner w/ 4 each.

that means Mule's gotta score

even he can't abide being tied with Cleary in goals

Just got in. What's the short version of the recap?

a fair period at best for us, not playing with enough intensity

Blackhawks scored on a broken play with blown coverage by Flip

still have plenty of time to wake up and make some adjustments, come out strong in the 2nd

if that's all the Hawks have to offer, then we can end their season tonight

but first we have to match, then exceed their intensity

Let's Go Wings!

Sharp bitching about an apparent uncalled high-stick against him

he shouldn't be complaining though, at least he wasn't speared in the groin

Usually I would feel the same way considering the circumstances, however, I feel like Howard has stepped his game up to a whole new level and has the ability to be a game changer. An X factor one could say

but I thought Mule was our X factor? ;)
