#2272005 3/19 GDT : Capitals 5 at Red Wings 3

I am confident the Sharks will pass the Stars, which means we would play them if we finished in 6th place. We all know what happens when we play the Sharks in the playoffs.

we keep up this kind of play and it won't matter who we match up against

Praying this is the calm before the storm...(us sucking until we just tear s*** up)

if any team was overdue to stop sucking...

That's how it's been like every time they've played this year haha, it's awesome. Man how badly do I hope we get Prust in the off-season, perfect 4th line guy for this team.

don't worry we don't need him- our PP is our enforcer, remember?

well on our way to just 1 win our last 6 games, and the one win was that improbable comeback vs. LA; the wheels have not only come off, they've rolled down the hill, burst into flames and incinerated the local townfolk

why on earth is Cleary getting PP time? what has he done to deserve that? oh wait, maybe it's punishment...

I wouldnt say that. Cleary is right there challenging him on that.

but at least we know Cleary is playing through an injury, Hudler is just trying to play through being Hudler, and he's failing

Babs should look up the word 'motivate' and then apply it in the locker room

Hudler's been visiting the box a lot lately(that's what she said)

I wonder what the alternate reality looks like where the wings kept Hossa, and let Franzen walk.

he's definitely better overall than Mule at least in the regular season, but only 5 goals in 29 playoff games for the Hawks

really hope Holland at least tries to get some more scoring, or at least some sandpaper before the deadline... everyone still looks lost w/o Pavs and we can't afford to slide with the Blues right behind us

Is Stuart secretely drinking on the bench??

along with Kronwall? Yes, probably

I think people are forgetting that Kronwall was standing still on the first goal scored while Stuart was out of position. And you all expect Ty to stop redirects so close? No one was even getting Gagner out the way. Let's just leave a guy alone who was dominate last game and is showing signs of doing the same thing tonight. Pretty stupid on the Wings part.

I agree, we are leaving him out to dry for the most part. Plus our PP has been awful lately, we have 4PPG the last 10 games for a 12% efficiency rate, and then tonight everyone has been a pylon even with the 2-man advantage... not good enough

#2127122 mccrimmon

Posted by datterberg1340 on 07 March 2011 - 11:15 PM

haven't posted in ages, but thought I'd add some #s for discussion:
thru March 5th, we've given up 3 or more goals in 39 out of 66 games, or roughly 60% of the time, so there's a 3 in 5 chance we'll give up 3 or more goals each time we take the ice, also:
record in games of 3 or more GA: 13-19-7
record in games of 2 or fewer GA: 26-0-1

A stark contrast to say the least

Can't say if McCrimmon is to blame, and I doubt he's the only problem, but he sure doesn't seem to be part of the solution, the players need a shock to their system and replacing McCrimmon may help do that, though who know if and/or when that will happen
