Can't wait until those Crosby threads start up again. I'll be leading in the negative reputation.

Whats his record in his past 10 games?

Eva you have a habit of breaking numbers down to fit your argument.

Howard's stats might not be very good for the last 10 games, but he only cost us one game.

Hell I could go and find 10 game segments of any hall of fame goaltender and make them look pedestrian too.

Why can't people be happy that we have a young goaltender that is winning games and happens to have top 10 stats?

You do realize Howard is 8th in GAA and 5th in SV% right?

Not to mention he is winning games.

One bad game happens, he's the future and he's playing well. There is no reason to change things up.

So, would you say it would be possible for a person to be an Avs fan as well as a Wings fan...........or a Hawks fan as well as a Wings fan?

It would be a lot harder considering the competition between the two teams will take place all through the regular season and early in the playoffs.

But I'm not going to say it isn't possible.

It's just a sport.

I've heard it said that a fan of two competing teams is a true fan of neither. What's your opinion?

My opinion is that considering I have season tickets to the Red Wings, and have been following them since birth that they are my favorite team.

But also considering Pittsburgh has my favorite player, happen to be in the Eastern Conference and play great hockey makes them my second favorite team.

Being a "true" fan is a personal thing. I don't need to prove my "fandom" to anyone but myself.

:)

Penguins get away with again? Not a big surprise...

Got away with what? A clean hit?

Because that's all I saw.

Until they make the rule, this is a legal hit.

Michael Liambas is quickly becoming one of my favorite non-NHL players.

#1824804 Bertuzzi SUCKS

Posted by Carman on 27 November 2009 - 10:25 PM

I'm happy with Bertuzzi. He is creating chances, hitting, and shooting. We are getting a good bang for our buck with his contract. It's just a shame he has to carry that anchor of Holmstrom around. If Homer actually capitilized on half of the chances Bertuzzi has set up for him non you would be complaining.

full face shields are a bad idea in any major junior level, look at the disrespect in NCAA

I agree, older kids(16+) with a full cage can feel even more invincible out there and start developing bad habits.

The guy broke his stride when he lined him up, so I would say charging would even be iffy. The kid saw him coming before he went behind the net to get the puck. He had the sense to protect and reverse the puck, he just didn't have the sense to protect himself. In fact, he did just the opposite by turning his back.

Oh I agree, I probably wouldn't have called charging either. But in a Junior league I wouldn't be surprised if it was called after the outcome.

I don't really see that as tucked in..

That was a follow through. His elbow seemed to be tucked in when he made contact.

Good hit, players need to stop turning their back. No way a guy can let up when you turn your back half a second before the guy hits you.

Should of probably been a charging though, that's it.

I agree with Doc.
